  • I put Grand Canal 5 directly into the water without a land bit, and it places just fine fully in the water.

Yes, only Canal 5 can stand directly on water. the rest need a land.

How do we get the other Canals to count towards our bonus then, besides putting it right behind the Museum?

You can put them in front of the museum. Here all 7 items count towards the bonus.

Here you can see bonus area and it is enough to cover only 1 square to activate the bonus.

Hope I understood correct what you mean.
  • After you craft all of the final heist items and hit 20% - I should save plunder for Act Two right? No added benefit from putting more than 20% bonus around a museum?

That’s what I did in the last event, and am doing this time. There is no added bonus. Saving allowed me to collect enough crafting materials, when the next act started to immediately get the bonus on the new venue to 20%.

Anyone any tips on how to get more gold? It's only coming from the cops (and if your friends drop crooks) and it's awfully slow......

Really, all I can say is to be patient. There is a 350 Gold/Plunder on the prize track; and that should help out in a pinch.

Just keep grinding, really is all I can say.

Tap until you can’t tap anymore. Then tap again.

Start an alternate town and drop yourself crooks.

This was great in Homerpalooza but it simply takes too long to get crooks randomly to the point its not worth the time in this event.
