ETA on glitch fix?

    I would lose months of progress in a rollback. It is not an option for me.

    It seems ironic that so many people called and requested a roll-back, and were denied, or had to fight like heck to get them to do it, and now its a recommended option.

    I'll continue to play my broken game, even though its not nearly as enjoyable. Eventually my interest will wane and I'll move on, sad as it is.

    I've never spent any real-world money on the game, so I don't have the same footing to complain as other that have.

    I just created a new thread HERE that takes the most important points that players must know before fixing their glitched game without having to read through 100's of posts across multiple threads to get the basic.

    Hopefully that helps to clue in players easily in on post in deciding how to proceed with a glitched game.

    Where did my thread go? I just created a new thread HERE and I did a small grammar edit, I saw a brief message this need needs to be approved, and now it is gone?

    I spent a lot of time to get the wording and searching for link references........who is a Mod I can message to maybe help?

    thats probably where it is, in a secret moderator lair hidden somewhere in the center of the earth. They just have to pull it out with their secret mod powers and all will be well again ;):p

    Any mod can fix it for you

    For unknown reasons this forum bug randomly rears its head during the editing process. It’s happened to me about a dozen times over the last year or so since we’ve switched over to Vanilla. The message affected winds up in a moderation queue. Any of the mods can pop it out if you want to go through the trouble of contacting them.

    It's a lot easier to document how much stuff you have gained in those months than it is to start with a fresh town. LPN documents all the additions to the game at wikisimpsons, so you should be able to use that to make your list.

  • Got an email today offering me a rollback to April 4. Means I will lose everything from the last event, including land tokens.

    Any one of them can pop a post out of the moderation queue. Some are on the forum more than others these days (haven’t seen @NeoSEC28 in forever and a day). Your best bet might be @johncolombo.

    Yay! @johncolombo (the official hero of the hour!) was able to restore the thread! It is now live again and available to help reps decide how to respond to EA's options to fix their glitched games!

    Same here, i mean really how ridiculous to offer to fix it now after a month of getting stuff from events etc and you will lose all of that to have your game fixed. I'm sorry no, fix my game with roll back and restore everything i gained too. After all if EA did this the first day i asked for it I would not be in a situation now with a glitched game and a whole bunch of stuff I rightfully earned because I had no choice but to rush progress and lose over 100 donuts to proceed with the event because of their callousness and lieing about doing a roll back each time i called them.

    The 9th April I write to support about Idle button issues.
    The next day I called to support because they closed my ticket without an asnwer and fixing.
    Today 25th May, support has sent me an email saying that it's necessary to loose my game progress since 9th April, loosing my evolution, too many hours of game, prizes of two events, the donuts that I won in all this time... And just for 300 donuts?

    Today I wrote to support chat but they couldn´t give me another solution for me and my requeriments, so I called for the second time to support and I got again no solutions.

    I wantes to speak with the technical support to explain my inconvenients with the solutions but they said to me that It is impossible. I want to speak with them again and get a real compensation or I will not continue with the game.

    Unfortunately, this is the solution EA has for those affected.
    Someone reported that they got a great cs agent. They had prepared a list of items acquired since they got the glitch, had their receipts for any donuts purchased and were determined to get a rep that could help. And they did!

    You do realize this is a users fourm, and not any sort of official EA help site, dont you? We're all just players like you are, and cant do anything to help you with this.

  • Well according to my last reply from EA there won't be a fix


    I´m sorry when it is a bit confusing. We have there fix templates what we send out. Yeah it´s correct that it could happen again in the future or with the current situation. But I can tell you from my experience all the cases we was working on performing a rollback had a positive resolution. I would recommend to the rollback or if you want we can grant you a template land. But there will be no third option to solve this problem. 
  • My OH has the glitch and had a roll back done on Thursday. They said wait 48hrs which would been lunch time today. So she logged in this evening and it hasn't worked.

    When she loaded the game at tap to continue it had the level number the game had been rolled back to but as soon as she went in to the gamr the level number had reverted back to the higher level and nothing was fixed.

    Has anybody experienced similar?

    Yes. Exactly the same right now. Waited 48 hours for this disappointment. They did 'something' because i got the bonus donuts for compensation they promised, but otherwise all other things are still broken as they were before. It took three weeks from opening the case to actually having the roll back done :(
