Thank you for the support. I just wished the guys at EA would stop trsleating the gamers as a cash cow and fix the issue. I have paid about £20 over the years I'm tighter than a ducks behind but some have suunk hundreds if not thousands into the game. This is poor customer care at its finest.
One thing I will give them is it doesnt matter if you have spent a million dollars or not a single penny, they treat everyone equally-like crap!

I can't believe it the glitch happened to me again yet I've had no rollback. So the glitch has glitched itself.
And again offered duff gardens.
How are you finding playing with a broken game? My thoughts are that if/when it happens to me I will just have to ride it out...
I hate it. The event stuff is pretty easy because we go to the buildings and send characters on the jobs to it at it but other than a few other similar buildings (Moe Express for example), moving around my huge town to find them or go to City Hall and scroll through the character list to get the next one who is done just stinks. So every few days I eventually finish getting everyone and send them on jobs again.
Before the character finder I had so many fewer characters and the town was so small and I knew no other way, then it was annoying. Now it is just horrible. My interest in the game dwindles daily and I know eventually if it remains unfixed I will just stop playing.
On the plus side (for other businesses), I have more money for other games.
I have the same issue and it is really starting to get old.
The first time around they did a rollback and it fixed the issue for about a week. After that happened I called them again and they wouldn't do a rollback, that the ticket was sent to the studio. Two weeks later still nothing so I call them back up and get the same junk about the studio is working it.
I go and look at my case today and they had marked it as resolved... COME ON REALLY. Guess they are just trying to get us to forget about it and pretend that nothing is wrong.
I called them back again but they wouldn't do the rollback and reopened the ticket. The person told me not to call back in on the ticket as if I did, it would pull the ticket away from the studio... hmmm sounds more like they are still trying to lead us along hoping we will forget about it.
I am at the point to where I think the best course of action is for everyone that has the issue to call in at least once a week. Maybe if we flood them with class/tickets that will show them we are not just going to forget about it. I think right not the cost of them to fix the issue isn't worth the money for them, if we can keep the support lines busy at some point that is going to cost them more than fixing our issue.
Character finder (top left corner), friend points shown as 1, old gil deal still present, redwood and money mountain reset and not interactable, tire fire gives out ribbons, IRS tap radius reduced to start size, and daily play combo showed up.

Not the complete glitch but the patch notes indicted character finder was fixed, which it is not and why i reiterated the fact that it wasn't, along with the other areas of my game I'm aware of being glitched as i previously hadnt the details for.
I’m just curious why this hasn’t been pinned/stickied yet - the number of players that are getting this is growing, and this provides info that could be pretty useful. Why not make it easier to find?
I got the glitch yesterday for the first time. Having read the comments, I find it amazing that EA have neither 1) issued any formal statement about the glitch and 2) are STILL pushing out game updates instead of concentrating on the problem. It appears from the figures that 25% of game players (and rising) are experiencing the glitch and that rolling back the game does not solve the problem - many have had the problem come back more than once.
This is rendering the game unplayable for many - how many customers will EA lose before they actually do anything about it?

I would suggest reading the first post in this thread about one players template town - it did not go well. As you say, a rollback means you would lose all progress since you have had the glitch. It is possible for EA to fix a town without a rollback, however only 3 players have had this happen - see the 3rd post in this thread.

Dont take a template town until you read everything you can on it. @czipotteszti took that option and was less then thrilled with the outcome. If you go into her profile you can see her posts about it

I copied the letter and sent it off as directed and within 24 hours my game was rolled back.
I stopped playing after I noticed the problem so I did not loose much.
My problem started after I updated on May 9th. I rolled back to May 7th to be safe.
I had tried to call a couple of times but got the standard answer no and we are working on it.

Today the Support forwarded my rollback to Admin.
