Thankyou! Just rotating the track corners reduced the lag greatly so i can scroll again normally, while keeping the bonus knives from having the track placed!

The old KL tourists have tickets above their heads every few hours, same as before. Not a programming glitch, they broke free from the theme park now cuz their world just got wider. Which is odd, and not the best use of their precious vacation time. But can you blame them, after years stuck in KL?
  • Dislodging the track piece does get rid of the lag but I can't assign anyone to the ride unless the track is complete. So, I'll have to put up with it for now. However, after act 1 the ride will remain taken apart unless they release a patch to fix it.

Good. You'd get severe radiation poisoning and die if you did. :D

Meh... I'm just mad I can't play and people doing cheesy **** jokes about it doesn't help.

My bad. I thought you meant you tried using the shuttle to go back after nuking.

@TheJuiceLoosener are we supposed to be building itchy and scratchy land in Springfield or do I have a bug?

    Yep. Everything goes in Springfield.

Awesome thread! Exactly what I needed to know!
  • The problem I'm having is with selecting multiple items: the game freezes for up to a few minutes depending on the size of a selected section. Other than that I'm not having much of a lag while playing. And, no, disconnecting the tracks did nothing...

It's quite bad because it makes it really hard to sell the farmed KEM's and I'm already out of donuts because I blew them all on KL tickets (to buy land)

I've sent them this morning without having all pieces connected.
I just moved one corner piece aside, maybe that's the "trick"

I get a feel that there different lag being experienced as the only lag i have is moving and selling objects, i have no lag ingame nore anywhere else in the game. Nothing fixes my issue.. I have adjusted to it now and its making my donut harvesting a lengthy procrss.
  • Juice, you can keep it disconnected. Assigning bar or lisa to it only provides cash no event currency. So no real reason to keep it going. Unless there is a requirement for a race in the missions that i havent gotten to yet.

Attempt to place, move, or store anything from group storage = wait 15 seconds. Faaaaantastic.

All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!

I was experiencing the lag, prior to seeing this thread. I was building, and completely took apart the track. I added about 6 new pieces to expand it and when the redesigned large track was built the lag disappeared. I also found the car rockets around so fast it is hard to see.

Homer and Marge can race each other, but at the same time; they can be assigned a task through the I&S Land Gate.

Dislodging and disconnecting the track would prevent Bart and Lisa from racing each other.

Sure, if you disconnect you cant assign Bart and Lisa to the race....but they should be working at the railyard anyway :expressionless: Do you really need those $175 and 45 XP???
  • Optimistic question... Any chance the lag goes away when you expand the size of the track with crafted track pieces?

I *think* there might be two issues here. Think the second one is that they reintroduced the bad new way of moving and selecting items that was quickly backed out of the last event. Where it searches for open land first instead of just turning red.

If so, they really really need to track which builds they check their code into and make sure they update changes in all related branches.

ETA: when selecting, turning off roads seems to help make it faster as well.

It's slow because I think the game just got much bigger I think. What device are you playing on?

Top of the line Samsung Tablet with 3 GB free storage and 1.6 GB free RAM..... I still have massive lag when trying to unselect group, sell items (KEM farming), etc......
  • I rotated the corner of the track to stop the animation. It did help any moving around the town lag (which I only had a little bit of).....but it did NOT help the lag when selecting multiple items, selling them, cancelling a selection, storing a selection, etc.....

It is the lag with selected group of items that is making stuff like farming very needlessly time consuming.

Other than this...I have been loving the event.
