New TV shows seem to have no problems killing off main characters for shock value these days.
Have you read the Fire and Ice series?? George Martin says books do it too........
This. As the books, atleast those that so far has been adapted to the screen, are written many years ago, and so few authors, screen writers (in my opinion) don't dare to do so, you could almost call Martin a modern day pioneer in this regard.
I would like to comment on the last two (so far) books too, but as I won't do any spoiling, I'll keep my comment to myself...
Was planning to sleep after tonights episode (4:30am for me). After the red wedding (now it seems obvious why it is called that), I am just going curl up in a corner under my blanket until the sun comes back up.
I don't watch the show, but I was possibly considering it in the future. Now that some random "friend" on Facebook needlessly spoiled it with his status, I won't ever bother.

Sounds like someone is gonna die.

Here's something that got me into the spirit of the show.
As a designer, I think the intros to Game od Thrones hooked me into the show at first.
LOVE IT!

I've only started the second book. I heard season 3 splits the third book in half. Wonder what the finale holds?
Tonight's eppy is going to be hard to top.
Bart: Do you have HBO?
Kang: No, that costs extra.
