One more thing I'd like for THOH 2018:
A break from the "bonus area" format. I don't want to mess with having to place stuff I earn in a predetermined space in order to increase the payout on my event currency. Let me put stuff where I want to.
I'm not a big fan of the bonus area format either. I don't want to place decorations that I don't want from the crafting. I'm getting the hang of doing the donut rush in the act prizes (maybe just for the land token perhaps and the last one) now since that I got a lot of donuts. Starting to find that a little easier.
Do not add me as a friend in the game anymore as I rarely visit my friends' towns. Not adding anymore too
Here’s how an event should go. You open a box and see a prize and then a bunch of silhouettes of other prizes. You collect something like coins, for example until you earn the first prize, then you earn coins for the next prize, you do this until you have all the prizes. As a bonus friends can drop a different currency in your town, like pumpkins 🎃 and when you collect enough to you get a friends prize. And that’s it. 😍
Make Nightmare Pile like Zombie Sandwich. All kids trick or treat at once.

That sounds like a generic template and an enjoyable one at that.
In the proper setting it's not terrible, however it's becoming unnecessary, much like multiple crafting currency or "crafting tiers", it's an aggravating addition.
The Itchy and Scratchy event, The zoo event, those all made some sense for the "bonus area", however nowadays it's very restrictive.
Personally, sorry @Bluntcard, I don't care about holidays.
My parents tried to raise me as unmaterialistic as possible, they also tried to show me that all days should be days where we are peaceable and loving to one another.
In other words we must act, like every day is Christmas, Valentine's day and Mother's day! (Dad's, you make every day about you)
So in that spirit, I say I shall eat candy every day!
I shall not be restricted to one night of candy!
Darn the rules!
That said, I don't mind if we lack Trick-or-treating mini-springfieldians. Alas Not everyone shares my sentiments.
My suggestion?
Regardless of what the event is, allow trick-or-treating to occur, at the very least in the third act, or even during the actual date.
If you want something even better, I'd suggest making a building like those in the Badlands event, where a handful of characters visual tasks were visible, while allowing a large group of characters to be sent. Coupled with the Nightmare pile, visually, Springfield should rock some nice tricks and treats!
Second, or to be more precise, finally, I'd suggest creating a third tier of prizes.
I feel that @Bluntcard was in the right direction.
1) General Halloween Event Prizes
2) Halloween Event Friendship prizes
However i believe a third tier, should be made.
3) Halloween Event Friendship Community prizes
This would promote further neighborly visits, and encourage the community as a whole.
I believe egging houses, teepeeing trees, and handing out Caramel Cod to our neighbors will really unite our community in a way that hasn't occurred since the last Event complaint thread.
Sincerely yours, Person grateful for Poochie, however please add just stamp the ticket guy.
Okay my convinction on the next event being a monster dating theme is beginning to be confirmed in my mind. Not only did one of the descriptions say an upcoming event could include “Monster Matches” but a new character collection under the new treehouse of horror section features a gypsy fortune teller from the episode where Lisa is told of her future husband. In the episode the gypsy says something along the lines that she specializes in failed relationships. This definitely has potential.
The bonus area is basically when they give you building with an area around it that gives you a bonus IF you build event items in that area. Moe's Ark, Itchy & Scratchy Land, and Springfield Jobs are an example of it. I don't mind when they use it on occasion but in fact EVERY single major event this year has used the bonus area format so it's getting a bit tired.

Everyone has the bonus area and why no kang or kodos do you mean that you don't want them in the store or you don't want them to be part of the event?

That's as good a guess as any... as long as I don't have to battle Lord Krustymort and then "cool down" for 4 hours
Yeah, that was stressful to finish.
It will start next week, probably on tuesday or wednesday.
Well the end of the fremium Quest does end with the clue that
Seems a later start than usual...
Could be a hint at an Island of Doctor Hibbert event, given that turning people into monsters is literally what he does.
I thought he turned people into animals not monsters. I really hope it's not The island or Dr. Hibbert.
The island of doctor hibbert could give us so many costumes why don't you want it?
