Help my locked out son, please!

Sorry to crash your forum, but I have a very sad kid on my hands. He has been locked out of Live for several days - when trying to open the app, it loads for a few moments, but then crashes while still on the loading screen. We’ve tried forcing quit, and restarting the device -no luck... I don’t want to reinstall if possible, because he’ll lose all his progress.

I know there have been multiple threads on this, but haven’t seen any solid advice on addressing this. Anyone have any tips, beyond hoping EA fixes it ( I’m a long time player of another EA mobile game, so I know this may be a loooooong time issue...)
