I haven’t been working on my zoo much, other than to get the multiplier up, but I have done a lot of work on my Marine World/Squidport area (adjacent to the Pirate District, the Hammock Disctrict, and Old Springfield).
I stayed up all night, inspired to finish my new waterfront piers.
In the Heights, I expanded the pier for the new Marine World. I think it looks appropriately hoity. I love the new animal pen railings for this pier. I've been waiting for something that looks appropriately OSHA compliant for a long time.
Plenty of fancy benches, no unsightly trash cans, and i used pink fence and planters to tie it all together. I really enjoy having the choice of velvet ropes and poles with chains, and finally a solid railing around the entire edge!
I also redid my entire Squidport, to accommodate the new Wet & Wacky "Midway"-style amusement section, with "Shark vs. Squid" Thrill Show sponsored by Duff. I tried to model this like the "Jersey Shore", which is where I grew up. The only silver lining to "the big KL merge", is using its crowd control barriers and concession stands anywhere i want.
I expanded the dinner theater section at the Frying Dutchman, spent hours aligning roof tops so i can have the appearance of BACKS of concessions (no signs please) in the Midway area, and set up trash, ATMs, etc.
The right end of the SP is much shorter, but i anticipate growth on this end as i acquire more old skool premium SP features I couldn't obtain the first time around. The only restaurant now is Bloaters, so i made a walk-up outdoor sushi kitchen and "back of house" trash corral. The vendors on this end cater to the Greenpeace crews that go in and out from their secured (who left that gate open?) dock.
One of the hardest parts was swapping out fancy tiles under all the buildings, to conserve on wood tiles. I can't make anymore from the SP entry. So any pier tile you can't see, is the fancy tile instead.
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!
