It takes up way more space then the Springfield Zoo, and you gave us a lot of free land for it. Either let us clean up and rebuild Krustyland in its special spot, or give us a lot of free land to place everything of it on normal land.

Oh and btw I wasn’t playing this game during the event, and I didn’t have krustyland unlocked then anyway so no free land tokens for me

I agree - not just because it takes up a lot of space, but because Springfield is rapidly filling up with amusement parks and it looks so wrong.

    Then store it.

Maybe it's kind of hard to store it when I'm in the middle of "Krustiest Place On Earth". Maybe I like storing it even less than I like having it out.

  • Absolutely not. I was able to place my completed Krustyland in my Springfield as-is and had over 50 land tokens left over. Nuking Krustyland was a land windfall that gained me more land in one day that otherwise would have taken almost a year to acquire through the normal event grinding.

Nuking Krustyland was a godsend and I'm so grateful it happened.
  • You received tokens for the same amount of land you had in Krustyland. So there is no excuse.

Placing the KL entrance was a big mistake (you can’t store it) I made and I kinda wish I didnt take the twirl n hurl. Before the nuking, I havent been sending those to the rides for awhile and since after the nuking. I had already stored the tunnel of love (for Homer and Marge only) which seems useless to have and its big.
Do not add me as a friend in the game anymore as I rarely visit my friends' towns. Not adding anymore too

Getting 100 pieces isn't quite the same as getting a 10x10 tract if you value the entirety of your layout, and not just individual designs.

Clearly they've established that the land doesn't have to remain symmetrical. So they should have given us the exact same footprint. They didn't. That forced me to break my KL up, so it's in storage now. It was a mistake.

But I'm glad for you that it didn't have as negative an impact as it did for many of us. Congrats you were spared what has ruined my game experience. It'll be a long while before i can move the heist stuff out of the way so i can move my casino section there, then attempt to build a new KL that's much smaller and more cramped.

New land is always my financial focus. Of course it's tougher now.

Now that the land isn't square, and is unlocked with Land Tokens, which are primarily gained with participation in Events, people will be more inclined to participate in Events.

Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if EA's next trick after Moe's Ark would be to make land tokens purchaseable with donuts as well as cash... you know, out of the good of their hearts to be the answer to other people's problems, huh? HUH?!

  • I kind of agree. They gave a load more space with the update clearly meant for the zoo we're all now building, but really that's all been taken up by Krustyland stuff. So then you're left with one option: place your zoo elsewhere.

Krustyland maybe should have stayed a separate map.

  • You are not obligated to place every decoration given to you. I put half my KL rides in storage because they are hideous and I want a smaller, neater park.

But they gave us a Turkey stuffer! A Turkey stuffer Bluntcard! Why would they give us a Turkey stuffer if we weren't suppose to put out every last piece of junk they ever came up with?

Yeah, it seems most people here report that they put a significant amount of new event features into storage once the event is over.

It also seems that many people just lay stuff around through the event, rather than design the whole time. Many of my neighbors never design, they just hoard new stuff in a random mess of a town.

But i design on the fly. So my primary problem is easily illustrated, as shown here. The "huge" land tract they gave us is already full after act one. What about the other two acts? Will there be another land tract given? Of course not. What I'm not supposed to be creative and build my own toddler's zoo and playground? My creative license has been revoked?? It's lame.

EA has demonstrated in multiple ways, including the item limit, that they don't care about long term players who design their towns. I work with what they give us, but I'll not excusing their terrible decisions lately. The KL closure and the land token system, have ruined a game I've enjoyed daily for five years. Now my town is becoming a cluttered mess too. Good job, EA.

People put a lot of items into storage because they NEED to, not because they WANT to. Doubtless if they had the room they'd want to use as much as possible, considering the time they spent on it.

I've already done it with mine. It's in my Springfield Heights.

  • We've got way too many amusement park themes around.

While they make for cool events they don't really 'blend' with the rest of the town.
  • An amusement park and zoo is hard for you to "blend" into your town? Most towns have them.

  • I've been playing Tapped Out now for a little over 5 years so am something of a veteran and must admit I was initially taken aback when KL was demolished, however that update in my view would prove to be one of the finest in the game's history and certainly, from my perspective, has resulted in a replacement KL far superior to the original, plus it's also much easier to collect income and tickets now that both Springfield and KL are situated on a single level.

I am also a long time player and the only thing about losing K-Land was that I did not get a ton of tokens. I got what I had used for it. While I did not like it initially I moved on. I was able to design a smaller park and still have plenty of room for the zoo.
Of course had I read the forum prior to nuking I would saw the numerous threads saying to buy all the land prior to destruction. My bad there. If I would of done that I would have (dare I say it) too much land.
I have stored many items, most of them ones I really do not like. I tried to keep them all but once I stored one it was easy to store more.
I do understand the negative impact it has had on some players. Hopefully there will be a correction on purchasing land soon. I’ve got half a billion burning a hole in my pocket to spend.
On a side note I love the zoo update. It will allow me to move some other items to a dedicated area. Might be second favorite update ever, right behind stonecutters.
