This Gil Deal is terrible, really. That's 150 Donuts for a premium character, 150 for the building when character-building bundles usually cost 150-200 Donuts.
They get away with it because it's limited time and a Recurring character.

And worth every penny.
People may say that she helps with the Event but you should remember that the event itself is limited time and you could use those donuts to directly buy the Animal Tracks required. What's important is what kind of questline she comes with.

If you do donut farming then there's no need to worry about spending those donuts.

Yeah, I know... but EA's always thinking up new ways to make Donut Farming harder and more time-consuming. Me, I farm well in advance. And it's getting harder all the time. If donuts don't get harder, items get more expensive.
"First they came for the Skinners, and I did not speak out because I didn't need all the skins. And then they came for the Guest-Star Completionists, and I did not speak out because I didn't need to have all the guest stars. And then they came for the Building Completionists, and I did not speak up because I didn't need to have all the buildings. Then they came for the people who bought only on sale, and I did not speak out because I didn't bother to buy when on sale. And then they came for the Money Grinders, and I did not speak out because I was not a Money Grinder. And then they came for the Farmers, and there was nobody left to speak out for me."
Well, just because she's canon doesn't mean we know she's a good deal just yet. Everybody's so focused on the Event, that the reviewers don't have time to work out how good her questline is when they're diverted by collecting animal tracks or by using her to collect tracks. Unless they're high on donuts. She's highly limited time too.
Didn't buy her as I didn't have enough donuts at the time, but now I can't find her in the menu. Is she there or have i missed my chance?
Try scrolling all the way to the right on the main store screen. You also may have gil wandering around your town still. Gil deals have, in the past, had a habit of disappearing very quickly, way ahead of schedule. Its always best to jump on them as soon as possible (although I understand your circumstances)
