Found this when I was doing an image search for Squidport so I can make mine look as close to the real one as possible. It's gorgeous and it showed as belonging to this forum. I don't remember seeing it posted here.

I'm super jealous of everything they have.

    Couldn't wait rushed like a...

Anyways I don't have all the tiles but I have more than enough room for all the buildings that come with squid port.

It's my first real effort and will undoubtedly get changed up a hundred times in the future. First efforts never seem to take in my town.

Having realized Squidport's construction will probably take some time to complete due to way we are to get boardwalk pieces. I decided to work on the surrounding areas such as the beach and grass area leading up to the boardwalk. I'm in no rush to complete it since its not a limited time event and I still have lots to redesign inland. I created a park at the entrance of Squidport consisting a gazebo, butterfly tent and a mini playground. The pathway is lined with the wooden fencing and seating. I wanted it to serve as a pleasant rest area for visitors who are either leaving and arriving Squidport. Pics are located at the link below.

I don't have all the tiles and I don't intend to do anymore speeding up but here's what i got so far.

I wanted my restraunts to face the ocean and my fave bit is the binoculars (parking meters) at the bottom for people to look out. The binocular/parking meter idea is not mine and comes from another thread.

    What do you guys think?

    So far so good :)
What drew my attention is the seating area surrounding the fountain.
Its a great visual entrance to Squidport and a functional piece as well
serving as a place to unwind for weary visitors walking around the boardwalk.
Good choice of bench seating flanked by alternating planters.
I cannot wait to see your expansions to Squidport.

    Wow thanks for your comments!

I actually got the idea when I went to Singapore last week. They had these kind of fountains at a restraunt district. The parents were sitting by the benches and their kids were running in and around the fountains

I've built the Itchy and Scratchy shop, its there, but the task says Done.

It hasn't gone from my tasks, and there doesn't seem to be any new ones? other squidport items are locked?

Put the shop in your inventory, then place it back on your port. The task should be complete once you place it back.

I couldn't wait. Got sick of losing tiles. Dont know why my sticher is warping the photos like this but here's my squidport complete with midway and fishing pier. And my new spring field beach resort with 5 star cottages and cabins seaside. I had a straight pier but it just didn't look right to me. 150 tiles doesn't cover much water.
