I think stealing is a strong word and I don't want to delete all my friends as many of them were great during the whacking day update. The first time I saw a floating tile on a friends town I did tap it thinking it would be beneficial, after all this is supposed to be a social game. However once I realised what was happening I stopped (only tapped one and I do apologise to that neighbour)
Hopefully all my neighbours will work out what is happening soon. In the mean time maybe I will set alarms for the tiles (hmm think maybe I need to get a life).
I'm not going to read the entire discussion-but has anyone tried PMing the friends to let them know--Doubt it's being doing entirely out of mischief.
I have nearly a 100 neighbours and only a few of them are on here, if they visit the forum they are probably aware of the problem. The rest I can't PM and they are probably the neighbours tapping my boards. They probably think they are doing the right thing, just hope they work out the issue or EA release a bug fix pretty quick.
Bumping to keep on page one. Can't this be stickied?.
This has been considered but its a double edge sword, although it a good thing people are being made aware what happens it you tap the tile this also brings to light you can infact take / reset someones timer (tried not to use the S word )
Well as you cant see who visits, if one more person clicks on my squidport despite the bloody big hedge sign next to it then I guess it is being done on purpose and in that case all friends are being deleted probably permanently as even if its fixed I dont want to help people with that attitude.
At the moment I am hoping its just people dont know about the problem, I didnt at first so a visible thread here would have been helpful.

I am sure you arent but as the game doesnt allow me to differentiate between good neighbours and bad neighbours everyone gets tarred with the same brush.
I've managed to get up to building the 24-hr tile. I was lucky and didn't have to work yesterday, so I could watch my tiles aaaaaallllllll daaaaaaay. I didn't start building the 12-hr one until jut before I left for work today to ensure I'd be able to tap it the moment it finished. Go me!

To the two friends whose tiles I tapped before reading this thread I'm deeply sorry. Now I'm even wary about just exploring friend's Squidports in case I accidentally hit a floating tile
I've made a sign to ask people not to. I'm just setting timers on my phone so I can collect it. On an even sadder note I'm planning when they'll finish so I'm about o get them.
