It'll probably be an iTunes update. If so, Apple have to approve all updates before making them available. Even if EA submitted the update a week ago, it depends on how quickly Apple can get it looked at & rolled out. That or EA submitted it on the 1st & it'll take even longer - either way, we've got a few more days of this I reckon!
(FYI it's 7:40am here in the UK & no update showing in-game or on iTunes)
