I also can't finish any of the quests from the event because my characters only earn money and XP. There's no way to finish them and no way to opt out.
I try to contact them but not I can't even log in, to ask about login you need info you get after logging in. What the pee....tell me they are fixing the crap or losing stock price due to everyone having the same problem. Oh, I added an avatar & there no option to be avatar less, ie delete. Beep.

To get a code, you go in anonymously, then when get to friend options there a place to login, if you still can't log in there contact. But I was told many are havong the same issue as me & they are working on a solution. I don't know if that includes the Halloween issue, which is what got me to this point.

That's exactly what I did and their advice was to post the problem here. The event gave me the link to this forum. So the matter is running in circles.

I also have the Halloween-issue and contacted the support. I got a reply via E-mail that i should post my Problem here: https://forums.ea.com/en/the-simpsons-tapped-out/categories/bugs-issues - It looks like there is noone in here capable of helping either....
Here’s a fix for iPhone. Make sure you have ea.com, Game Center and/or Facebook backup of your game. I have all 3. Delete the App. Game says all data will be deleted (it’s the basic game not your “saved” data). Then do a hard shut down (not just turning off) of your phone. Wait a couple seconds and restart. Then download App; this will take awhile depending on your connection. I have wifi and it took me 20 minutes to download the 2.2GB. Sign into your ea.com account and the game should be working. It collected syringes for me.
@11EEvey I saw your comment about the update fixing this before I posted. The update didn’t fix this in my game, hence the uninstall. Uninstalling has fixed problems in the past, except for one time when the fix was to remove and rebuild Krusty Burger. 😳 Presently I just “collected” from Jackpot Realty and should have received 5 land deeds. The game says I received zero. Is there another update that’s going to fix this? 😂
@mnboundwalrus Jackpot Realty gives Maps, not Deeds. Maps show up in the prospector shack character task area in the _/3 section. You must send the characters to make the deeds
