@adele2006 and @danutas, I believe this is a bug, since I have even had friends visiting my Springfield and leaving Valentines card, but cannot visit the same friends. And, as I said, our gamer family has updated the game (each one on their device), but we cannot visit each other...

EA/Origin, please, help us by solving that as soon as possible, so that we can enjoy the Valetine's update

I updated yesterday, got to see the event, send valentines and start the 2nd quest- now wont connect to server and has updated at least 4 more times but its the same damn update I already have and seen. Not sure how servers are down for some and others game works perfectly, so frustrating!

It worked fine after the first update but as soon as I downloaded the second, it wont let me back into my town. I get the cannot connect ot serve screen and all it says is "man I hate this screen".

After the update for iPad, my friends are having trouble visiting due to my supposed older version. I had already updated. I have closed & re-opened, logged in & out , and even deleted app & re-installed. I cannot visit my friends with iPads, for the same reason; I know they have updated. Friends with iPhones are not having this problem. My friends iPads range from the newest model to oldest.

Hi, don't know if anyone can help or is having the same issue?? I have an iPhone 5 on iOS 6.1 updated to valentines version and now can't get into the game, I have installed and un-installed the game twice and still kicks me out, I've paid for donuts, so pretty frustrating that I can't get into a game I've paid money for. All I get is cannot connect to server, even on wifi and 3G


Any suggestions? Don't know if its going up be fixed or if its an on going problem ATM for new updates for iOS 6.1 but I want to play the game lol!

No one can visit my town and I can only visit a few people, I have updated everything and now I log back in and all of my hearts are gone! :x

I play "The Simpsons" for few month and i am on level 25 now, it is quite complex and I even paid for special items. Had few crashes lately but it was ok. After the update now, i do have connection errors all the time. When I start the game normally I will never see my Springfield not even for a second. Always "Connection to server not possible" and so on. After reinstalling the App I can see that my Springfield is there but after few seconds I run into never-ending connection errors again.

That's really frustrating...

And it's not the connection speed. I tried it over 3G and a fast network as well. All the same.

I can only visit certain users towns. I did the complete update through the app store. Add me barbieinabmw

I am unable to visit my neighbours since the Valentine's update. I have received Valentine's from these neighbours and know they have updated yet it still will not allow me to visit them.

Has anyone found a way to fix not being able to visit friends since the V-Day update? They have been able to visit me, but I can't visit them. I know that they have the update so it makes no sense!

That's another bug. You get a connection error if you try to add someone.

While I am unable to send valentines on the majority of my friends, a couple more started working today, so perhaps it a volume issue after all.

2 Bugs

1: i cant visit my friends who has updated, games says that he hasnt updated yet.

2: Yesterday i had 12 donuts, after update i lost 9 donuts.

For about 2 months or so I've been having the same problems everyone is complaining about.
I login, I start playing and crash - cannot connect to server.
It reconnects, I play some more and crash - cannot connect to server.

Also, every time I tried to view my friends Springfields, I would just get the server errors.
This went on for like 2 months...

With the new Valentines update - no one was sending me cards, no one was visiting my Springfield
and since I can't visit friends...
ACK!

I realized that the reason this happened was because I had over 100 Friends!
Origin stops you from adding more then 100 friends but somehow, I was at 167!

So I logged out of my origin account.
Logged back in to Origin and went to my friends.
Deleted EVERYONE who had not been active today.

I went from 167 to 88!
So with 88 friends in tow, I went to my Springfield and...
OMG! I had tons of cards!
If that wasn't enough excitement - I went to my friends villages and NO SERVER ERROR!
and to top it all off - I have not had a single server error since I got below 100 friends!

If you're having trouble, check your friends list.
Having more than 100 friends seems to cause trouble.

It looks to me that wherever your Simpsons are doing a task is where the Valentine's are going to be for your friends.
