I had a texture glitch like this plus with two orange cats with horns? right after I placed the tent in a different area near the tent but the tent is fine
The Tent has no glitch, only the Gypsy Fortune Teller SHOP. When the parking lot is pointed screen left, the building is normal.

thanks, I misunderstood, I just checked my Gypsy Fortune Teller SHOP and it's fine but I did get the texture glitch. I need to check my crawl town.
Edit
This is what I see in my crawl town. Is this my gypsy fortune shop?

It states at the beginning of the teaser guide that if the fortune teller tent is south facing, it just shows the Fortune Teller's icon and other random images from the town, and it can't be selected anymore....I just plonked mine randomly to start the build, which happened to be east facing so the tent looks normal, but the tasks haven't started even the the building is complete? No, wait ....I'm looking into my Crystal ball, the smoke is clearing, becoming much clearer now, Yes I see the future...and it's, it's, it's.... glitches! it'll all get sorted one way or the other
There are two buildings. The Fortune Teller Shop and the Fortune Teller Tent. You receive the Tent in this teaser. The Tent is not glitched. The Shop is from an old THOH Event and is glitched when the parking lot faces screen right. Turning it screen left makes it appear normal.
After building the tent, the freemium quest should continue, but EA made it so you had to purchase the Fortune Teller in order to continue. The Fortune Teller also has her own separate premium quest. I predict this will cause some issues when the primary Event starts next week, unless EA does some patching.
It's only been available a few times after it's original release in 2013.
Thanks @txrabbit3737 for the clarification, I appreciate it. I don't have the shop and won't be buying the fortune teller, hope this doesn't exclude me from the THOH event. From reading another thread I've got the impression that a teaser mini isn't necessarily linked with the subsequent main event and I don't mind missing out on a mini, but I wouldn't like to miss a main event.

Well, the more I think about it, the task "Fortune Favors the Bald" which at the end gives you a clue to what will happen in the THOH Event, disappears from the task bar once you've done Part 1 and don't buy the Fortune Teller. If you buy her, it and her premium quest continue. So maybe it won't cause problems in the main Event. But I still think it was an error on EA's part.
I’ve got the fortune teller shop curse with floating heads and everything immobile. I also think the new fortune teller did it. EA heads up! There is a storm brewing.
Speaking of animation issues:
Kang and Kudos no longer go back to their ship. And when you give the the 16hr chortle they move and turn and are usually unseeable.
And although fences mean nothing, can the characters please stop walking through buildings.
One more pie in the sky idea: can the characters acknowledge each other? Just a nod or a walk around instead of walk through each other. /end of rant
Thats exactly what mine looks like! Except when I select "movement" the game thinks there is nothing there! like its not even a building!.....In fact I can place stuff right on top of it if I wanted to. I may do it just to see what it may look like after they fix it.

Don't increase the Item Limit? Then I don't play. Period.

You can move or turn the building. The best way is to turn off everything except buildings, then use the grab tool and select an area larger than the Shop. A small green square will highlight in the extreme lower left corner of the Shop area, and when you let go, the turn button will be on the menu, and you can move or turn said item or itmes if you select more than the shop. It can take a few times to get to work, but it does.
I am also having this glitch. I've tried several things one of which was to have Maude and Homer fight and that just turned it into a black screen which I took a screenshot of but the screenshot disappeared and I don't know how to put it on here Anyway, I hope they fix this glitch soon I've considered buying the character that keeps showing up but I don't want to risk buying anything until the glitche is solved.

Hello
I also have this problem with the fortune teller's building that appeared on October 1, 2013. I contacted EA a few days ago, but no answer and no patch in perspective.
I've had the same problem over the last few days. It's evidently a glitch, and hopefully, EA will eventually fix it, but, I'm not holding my breath. As for treating people in the forums badly, that's not proper etiquette. He was only making a point. He didn't deserve to be bashed.
I have the same glitch and notice that everyone else's pictures have the same thing in common: The picture of the fortune teller in the middle. This makes me think it is definitely a glitch related to the new event tease (something in the code is mistaking the Fortune Teller SHOP for the Fortune Teller's head in the dialogue boxes). Just need to let EA know about it so they can patch it

They know. There were posts a couple days ago telling everyone that EA knows the issue. Its not really causing anything other than a visual issue so we probably wont see a resolution till the event drops. My guess anyway.

I would say the above statement is correct. And we found a fix, rotate the building if it's bothering you for now. If it impacts game play then we should call EA but I also assume that when the full event drops it will fix itself.

I had this same issue - got the building back, but can’t get Maude back. The top left corner of the screen shows she’s done with her quest, but nothing happens when I click on it. I tried putting the fortune teller shop into my inventory then back out...also tried signing out & back in...but nothing is working!
