Interesting thing about Squidport tiles...

I just happened to notice, by accident (forgive me if there is already a thread about this) that if you grab a section of boardwalk tiles or ornate pier tiles you can place them much closer to the beach line....but you can only do it in the group move. I can’t post a pic because my photo storage site is being stinky... I’ll try in a while.
You guys may already know this, I miss things

*here is a pic finally

  • I did not know that. Just tried it, it works!

  • Great tip! Thank you for pointing it out!

very cool, never heard of this until now. already made use of it!
if you hard. then you hard.
  • Yeah I can confirm it works when you group select a few tiles(3 when first tried) and 1 if you select and move them into the gap between the shore and squidport tiles, but you cant place them right up against the squidport entrance or place squidport tiles out of the inventory.
  • Super cool discovery - thanks! Just cleaned up some unsightly things now.
  • Thanks for the heads up! I moved my entire squidport right up to the beach. I like it much better! I'm short a few tiles now so I'm off to send my submarine back down to find more tiles lol!

Wish I had a submarine to make more board walk tiles :(

If it ever comes back to the stores I def recommend buying it. Totally worth the donuts. I've collected dozens of new tiles since I hit my max.
  • Mine was already at the edge of the beach long ago. I was not aware that this was atypical.

No, there was always a bit of water in between the beach and the first row of tiles. Still can’t place tiles that close individually, they can only be moved in a group.
 it’s funny that you just figured it was normal....why wouldn’t you, right?

  • Also, objects that can go both on Squidport tiles and grass can straddle the tiles and beach. I have tried a couple: Moe's Brewing Co. and Rommelwood Barracks. I'm trying to make a wharf area using the barracks, that is when I discovered this.
