I first came to this board looking for hints to help me out and there were some useful ones. To those of you that posted useful hints, I say thank you.
I then kept coming back to this board to read all the whining complaints about how bad EA is for giving us such a horrible free game for our outrageously expensive "I things", having us spend money for donuts to get premium items. But yet people are still playing it and making several new threads asking about updates, EA sucks polls and useless occupy type complaints. To those I say "Ha Ha"!
Just wait till your Springfield resets, then we'll see who will be saying 'Ha Ha'
It has reset twice, but I have an account with EA and was able to restore it both times. I found that info on this board before the game dumped and set up the account to make sure the game saved. Seemed simple enough to me.

Perhaps I'm mis-reading the intent of your post, but you seem to be making this issue a black-or-white one. I'm not necessarily applauding all of these "EA traffics with the devil" polls, but my dislike stems from a belief that they are misplaced and pointless. It should still be possible, however, to recognize that many of us have enjoyed playing TSTO, while still recognizing its significant flaws. Your post makes it sound as you have absolutely no sympathy for those who are suffering with connection problems or, worse, lost towns.
Programs are flawed because people wrote them, people are flawed. Connection problems? Get a better service provider. Set up an Origin account before your town is lost to make sure you get it back. Sympathy? Yeah, pretty much none.

Are you stupid? What you are talking about are people not logging onto Origin and then thinking they've lost their Springfield. What's actually happening to us is that when we log onto Origin a message comes up saying:
"that there is a level 5 Springfield on this device, is this your Springfield?"
(This is when I had a Level 15 Springfield btw)
Then when you click the option no, it prompts you to create a new Springfield, essentially meaning you can't log back onto your Springfield ON YOUR ORIGIN account.
You are a f-ing idiot, thinking that this problem has happened to you and it's been fixed, and then paying people out for complaining about it.
I really hope that this happens to you soon, the irony would be palpable.

COMPLETLEY different issue, you f-ing idiot.
Also the quoting on this board doesn't even work.. (Y) EA
That exact thing did happen. Simple fix was to uninstall the game, reinstall and log back into Origin. Got my lvl 22 back. Just because there is an apple emblem on your device doesn't mean it is perfect. Everything needs to be rebooted once in a while.
lol EVERYONE has been doing that who've had that problem. I re-installed the app, restarted it, re-everythinged it.
Your problem was that you were playing the game offline and then it didn't save.
If you had the same problem as everyone else, simply reinstallling the app wouldn't have worked cause everyone else who've had that problem have already tried it.

You are still making it much more black and white than things really are. People who have connection problems don't always have that issue because of their ISP, EA just uses a terrible server for this game. The bigger and more complex your town is, the more trouble the server has with it and the more likely you are to have problems.
Same goes with lost towns. Just because you have an Origin account doesn't mean you'll be able to get it back. Sometimes the town gets deleted from the server itself. It's happened to me before and there's nothing to do but start over, especially since EA does so little to help it's customers.
It is black and white. Free game with the OPTION to buy upgraded items. If everything is lost, write to EA with your receipts (you kept those, right?) to get either a refund or replacement.

I wholeheartedly agree. Here's pointing at you, haters.

Yeah i think so..
Oh thanks.
Doesn't it save automatically anyway? :?:

Wow. That's pretty cold.
