I'm actually happy with the slow Squidport progression ...

I tend to agree. Those who want it ALL RIGHT NOW are way too impatient.

Enjoy the progression, build your boardwalk one day at a time and it'll get there.

Also agree people need to stop complaining about the cost. It's free with no ads! People should not feel entitled to free donuts. Free donuts would = Ads every time you turn the page.

(Hey, what is "Snake Grand Total"?)

I agree too, even though I can't buy all the premium stuff since I don't have room for it doing it this way is a smart plan. Now if I could just get a Bartman costume

I`d be happy to have slow progress but I seem to have no progress at all: I have my Squidport quest#5 done - and no more quests to be done for now 5 days -((
Is it some kind of game error?

Okay - I also would like to have it all NOW, but I think I really get it, why EA decided to do it this way.

First of all - it is still a game that can be played without any real money spent. With all the free hours we can play TSTO we shouldnt complain about the fact, that this game is made for making a profit. Otherwise it simply wouldnt exist. I don't know how many people are working at EA every day for our game. The money we spent is their salary, is the food on the table of their families.

And with Squidport, they give us the opportunity to still play the game for free. And if we dont have the nerve for waiting as little as two, three weeks to have 20 (?) boardwalk tiles, we can invest some of the donuts we have gotten for free (levelling up or with whacking day or on other opportunities) or we can buy some over the store.

I get why people are frustrated about the slow progression, but I think it's totally legit by EA. In fact, if I would be in the EA developpment team, I would probably done it the very same way.

And I like another thing about the slow progression: the fun factor about Squidport won't vanish within days as it was with erlier updates. In a month or so, I'll have a great Squidport. So I'm looking forward to that ... despite the fact I have to wait now for a couple of days untill I have 16 tiles in order to continue with the tasks.

Here an impression from my Squidport. I just love, how Brockman is enjoying the new site! :D

PS: I didn't speed up the tiles nor the buildings. But I offered myself the basketball game. :)

I totally agree, EA deserve to earn money. I am not against giving anybody my cash for a product. However, I want value for my money. I don't want to be ripped off. Pixels cost practically nothing to produce. Once they are created, it cost a minimal amount to reproduce. I think it's appaling the amount games companies charge for pixels that look pretty.

WoW charges something like $25 for a special mount you can ride in the game. That is taking advantage of its customers if you ask me. More so, because they pay a monthly fee anyway. A good percentage who play these games are kids, all kids know is they want it, value is not a question they consider. So, parents, who are trying to make ends meet, buy their kids these things and pay an extortionate amont. The Sims is exactly the same. The prices in their online shop are ridiculous. Most fans want everything they see naturally. However, in order to buy everything it would cost hundreds upon hundreds of dollars. All for a few pretty pixels that cost nothing to produce. There is an army of Sims fansites filled with dedicated fans who have taught themselves how to make objects for the game. The majority give their work away for free, so this proves how easy and cheap it costs to make the additions for our game.

I would respect these companies more if they lowered their prices to a reasonable amount making them available to both rich and poor. At the moment they charge a high price that few can afford. They would still make a profit if they lowered their prices, sales would increase and would most likely match or come close to what they currently make in profit. Wouldn't you feel better buying from such a company? I don't mind paying $50.00 for a game. But let's face it, you can literally spend hundreds on this "FREE" game. It's marketed to tease the players into spending more than they should. Since the customers only purchase the odd few donuts here and there, they lose track of the overall cost. That grossly takes advantage of people and insults their customers. I'm just as guilty, I love this game. I'm just sick of playing games I love ripping me off.

So, while I totally agree that any and all companies that produce a product should make a profit. I can not, however, accept that if the company in question takes advantage of its customers. This effectively means they bite the hand that feeds them.

Let me add, I am not here to flame you. This is my candid and honest opinion, nothing more.

    Peace.

    Edit, fixed typo.

Have you already tried to store your boardwalk buildings and take them back out? That normally solves those problems. Another solution I have heard of, is to log into your account from another device (iPhone, Android Phone, Tablet etc.)

    Good luck!
