@lissa hahaha you sound like you were maybe just a little bit hesitant to watch them? Not your thing?

Well it was cool the first few times but after about 12 showings? You're pretty over it. My mother was born in 1952 and in another country, so she was very enamored of all the old American black and white shows. I have no idea how many times she forced us to watch Tammy & The Bachelor. Most of these shows were before her time and yet she loved them.

She learned English from these shows and never gave up her obsession.

She also had I Love Lucy on nonstop.

Funny thing is that when she took us to visit our grandparents for a year? I learned Spanish from watching televnovelas nonstop. I can say "You blanketiy blank get your hands off my man!" with the best of them, lol kidding.

The story behind mine is pretty plain and simple it's me and my husbands name except when we made it Origin wouldn't let me put the I at the end of Brand so I wasn't able to spell my name out fully so now it kind of looks weird to myself and I know others have mistaken me to be a guy because of it Lol

Lol good times lol. My first phone I paid for with my own money was the Nokia 5110

And on the 3210 you could change your dull green screen to a blue screen and change your operator logo to something like nike

Mine was automatically assigned when I signed up for Xbox live. It was funny to my friends, I never got around to changing it after 4 years. I just dropped the random numbers at the end of it and started using it for other games.

    19??....

Isn't it fun being older than the internet? Lol

My friends and I made a list on FB of things created during our lifetimes here are some of mine

    VCR's
    Computers
    Video Games
    Internet
    Cassette Tapes
    CD's
    Space Shuttle
    Cable TV
    Digital Anything (except watches)
    Remote Control for TV
    Cell Phones
    Push Dial Phones
    Cordless Pones
    Beta Max
    Laser Disc
    DVD Players
    Karoke
    ...

    I had about 150 more.

Wireless remote control TV has actually been around since 1956, the Zenith Space Command. My grandparents had one-- the remote was this big box with two buttons, one for channels and one for volume/on/off. It was mechanical; you'd push the button and the mechanism would strike one of two bars in the remote, and the vibration would communicate the command to the TV. It made a loud click, and that's why the term "clicker" became popular as a nickname for remote control. Infrared remote didn't happen til years later.

Sorry for all the detail, but you can't imagine how futuristic it seemed back then, something take so much for granted today.
