I should have been on the hospital quest 3 months ago but it started progressing and then just stopped - I have no idea at which point. I am now on the bonus xp after level 30.I have been looking at other similar posts and clearly others have found fixes that worked for them. I have tried them all and nothing has worked. For example putting the cooling towers in the inventory or visiting the other Springfield then reinstalling them. I haven't deleted the app because I don't think this is an iOS issue as I am up to date the with software and am on a generation 3 iPad. What can I do to trigger this event, and how can I find out where it cut out in the first place? :?:
Have you put the decorations on the squidport ? I have two springfields and on my second springfield i didn't get the hospital for ages till i started building my squidport, I'm sure i remember the quest started to build the hospital after it said place plants and whatever on squidport.
Here is the list of quests that lead up to building the hospital. Depending on where you left off, you may want to store each building associated with each character on the list. You can also try building another orange house.
1. Bart go for checkup (10 min) (Bart's Checkup)
2. Hibbert practice medicine (12 hours) (General Practice)
3. Grampa go for checkup (10 min) (My Pills!)
4. Cleetus go for checkup (10 min) (Cleetus' Condition)
5. Luigi go for checkup (10 min)(Luigi's Growing Problems)
6. Quimby go for checkup (10 min) (Mayorital Difficulties)
7. Burns hide Nuclear waste (8 hour) (Medical Industry Corruption)
8. Hibbert deal organs on black market (4 hour)(Grey Matter)
9. Kent Brockman go for checkup (10 min) (Kent Afford It)
10. Make Hibbert sacrifice his principles (6 hour) (Corporate Sponsor)
11. Hibbert, Krusty, Brockman dine at Gilded Truffle (2 hours each) (Show Biz Life)
12. Krusty Promote a new product (8 hours) (Kramp Krusty)
13. Homer/Comic Book Guy/Chief Wiggum eat at Krusty Burger (30 mins each) (keep Hibbert free) (The Flavormax)
14. Dr. Hibbert prompts Homer/CBG/Wiggum go for check up (10 min) (Business is Picking Up)
Thank you for this list. I now know that nuking the town helped. It's triggered quests on this list, i just finished 11, now on 12.
Now I got all the way to 13, but Dr Hibbert prompt didnt prompt. Tried to store hibbert. Going thru trying to store, all effected.
I was stuck on the Hospital quest as well @ level 42/43. I tried all the suggestions here. The only way I got it to move along was to nuke my entire town, and then pull the buildings out one by one that brought the characters I needed with them.
I found I was stuck on #8 and got past it. Now here is the kicker. The quest got stuck again between steps 9 and 14 TWICE. Each time it got stuck I had to nuke the town and bring the buildings out one by one until it started again.
Only once I got though all the steps could I re-build the town (and Krustyland).
I had gone through level 41 four times, and just completed the fourth time through 42 when I contacted EA live chat. I was told 3-5 days it would be resolved. After the weekend, 7 days, I eventually talked to a supervisor who forced the hospital.
There is a glitch with Hibbert that EA knows about. It doesn't effect a lot of people, so EA doesn't have priority on it (did a poll that showed a small percentage had or has the hospital stuck).
Be aware that while nuking has release it for many, have read several post that had to do it more then once putting the building back out in the order they were available.

Finally got the hospital unlocked, had to nuke 3 times to get thru the pre-steps. Like you, I only brought out the buildings I needed to get thru the steps. Now rebuilding.
