I've been trying to rack my brain for this, but the first film I think of with convenience stores is Clerks (my mum has the DVD of it), but I don't think that is about fast food workers...

in which the 2 clerks from the first movie have to find new jobs after the store burns down, and they wind up still working/slacking together at a fast food hut
