  • ^^ I did the same! I like it @johncolombo I agree, not sure really what I want to do around it but it's a start!

Think I'll use the gold walls.

  • I know this will make people angry but I imagine that when EA releases more land, it will require some sort of other object we have yet to obtain. First it was money for land, then the various collectibles of Springfield Heights, then land tokens. I doubt they will use the land tokens on any new land.
  • So, if I understand this correctly, you can't exchange land tokens for donuts until you've bought all the available land, and after you've bought all the land, you no longer get land tokens from Golden Goose realty. Does this sound like a catch-22 to anyone besides me?

the exchanging of land tokens for donuts isn't really meant to be a way to produce donuts. it's for folks who, for whatever reason, have excess tokens by the time they've unlocked all the land tiles. similar to the gold tokens during black friday, any extras can be traded in for donuts.

that being said.... as long as you don't unlock all the tiles, you can continue to generate land tokens at the golden goose, and all those tokens you accumulate can later be exchanged for donuts when you finally do decide to open all the land (or they can be saved for whenever more land is added). that's why you see people in this thread saving at least one tile in its locked state.
if you hard. then you hard.
  • Yes if only I had realised this before purchasing all the land, I’d assumed it would continue to produce tokens which I could keep or exchange, but no it’s just IGC, so I have screwed myself! - Doh

When new land becomes available, will it start producing land tokens again?

    Only time will tell.

This is a great new way of farming donuts. Build up a ton then open all land and exchange for a dozen donuts per land token. Thx EA! Though I’m a bit nervous as to why this was released (true future intentions).

  • So if I'm understanding this correctly, best thing to do is go ahead and collect token and use them until you have one left and DON'T unlock that land. Instead, stockpile land tokens, then collect the last land, selling off excess tokens for donuts?

Or keep it doing tokens until we see what happens when more land is released. But yes, keep that one piece unpurchased.

  • if you are not a premium player and have to be thrifty with your donuts, I would say that this building is a must own and you best find a way to come up with the donuts.

    What's a premium player?

    What's a premium player?

A person who buys donuts or has amassed a large quantity of premium currency.

That’s some sound advice. Will probably start hoarding until we see what happens with new land release

  • Here's another version of Frosted1414's map, with all the text and graphics rotated so that they agree with "true north" being at the top.

  • Look at all that empty land in SH. Wish they bring that next.

@wilsoncpu Some of the free F plots are missing not to mention the North indicator. I don't know what the big deal is anyway, the game displays on a 45 angle.
Now that we can get a picture of our whole town I didn't think there would much interest in the map. Should I update? And if yes should I orientate the map this way?

    Nevermind! Hi everyone!
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!
  • Re: the 4 missing "F" tiles - d'oh! Yeah, I must've blitzed those when filling up that large area.
And of course, the "N" indicator!
As you say, I don't know if anyone will care any more now that the town-photo option is available.
But I'm so OCD, once I got started I had to finish (meaning I'll have to do those edits)... I still find the "straight" grid view like this much easier to understand when laying out neighborhoods, doing planning, etc.
