Ray Gun and Kodos question

A friend got the Ray Gun out of the mystery box and I've tried looking everywhere for answers.

I understand you have to shoot the UFO down, but it appears as though the UFO is being hit, but nothing is happening.

Has anyone got this since the original release(s), and, if so, do you know how to trigger the questline (if there is one), or successfully shoot it down?
Is there some pattern or specific place to tap the gun? Really not sure what to do.

it is a glitch, i have this happening in a town also since getting the ray gun
hopefully it will be fixed with the take down of this event or with the download of the next event but don’t be surprised if it’s not fixed 😀

Same. It does have a great multipler and I would like to think it will be patched. I passed the info to our community managers and reported the Ralph questline glitch.

Yikes! Sorry!

I searched everywhere but the only posts I found (or info of any kind, anywhere) was from the original couple of releases.


Here's hoping they actually fix it! Probably cause some problems for players who don't have Kodos if/when he's ever released again.

The UFO is now gone with this latest update which is a fix for me but probably a bummer for those who liked having it flying around.

This is kinda terrible. My friend only wanted the Ray Gun because Kang was supposed to come with it.
(I mixed up which one it was when I opened this thread. Whoopsie!)

Anyway, Kodos was in the box (and there are Kang AND Kodos *skins* in the box), but Kang is just no where to be found. It makes no sense.
No idea when they'll release him again.

They usually turn up for the THOH event. Then again, Tom O'Flannagan used to turn up for St. Patrick's Day too....
