It's Interesting seeing the reaction of everyone in this thread as time goes on. Just assume for a minute that EA wanted to gauge the reaction to an end of game announcement. They slowed down events, gave us easy access to land and old items. Then they went silent.
The forum started with anticipation of something big and new. Then boredom led to posts angry and indignant about nothing new. St Patrick's ignored. More old stuff released. Easter ignored. Indigent posts became concerned posts. Concern drifted to apathy. Now people post that they are done with the game, rarely play, and care little. This is making it easy to say so long.
What we need is for EA to see that there is a substantial base of people who want this game to continue, and there will be massive negative feelings towards EA if they pull the plug. I for one have max cash, max land, and still want to play, to be able to design and do events, however structured. This community is part of the game to me.

@Willy9292 But even if they gave us new content, how are you able to play a game that is so unstable? Crashes upon loading, crashes upon visiting neighbors, crashes upon doing daily tasks, etc. I've been playing since the beginning so I'm very invested. But if you can't get the game to perform, how would any new events or content help?
You got a great looking town~168sean... Checked out your town, WOW! ~daved

We don't know Easter has been ignored yet. There's still a chance they're just late.

Optimistically, that's what they are up to. The performance of the game with a large town is so bad on my devices that I'm about to give up on it for that reason alone. Adding more content and land will only make it worse. They probably don't have the resources to do optimizations and run major events at the same time, so here's to hoping that they're taking this time to improve the performance and redo the inventory system to be more workable.

Never. Not until EA reveal the next event.

The donut only spins for a short while doesn't even say synchronising then the whole app closes.
???
I have to force close the app. Turn on airplane mode for 5 seconds, then start the app. That works until I come out of the app, or it crashes and then I have to do the process again.

Yeah, the Easter event at last.

The same if I try mobile or Wii.
