I’m getting to the point where I want to know if the game is dead or not. If it’s dead, I’m nuking and rebuilding to keep my interest. If it’s continuing, I’ll just keep reshaping some parts. Just give us a sign!
I’ll keep trying to make lemonade out of the lemons as much as possible. Even as disappointing as this last mini-event first seemed, being able to get unlimited stadium seats, golf greens and tennis courts I actually found myself doing a lot more designing and having more fun than I usually do with most of the “major” events we’ve been getting. There are still a lot of items from older events that I missed that I would really enjoy getting another shot at.
I’ve been at this since whacking day but have been starting to lose interest even before this game inactivity. I can’t see why I would continue playing without any new content
I let the XP Collider run down by accident yesterday. As I automatically went to top it back up, I did pause to wonder what the point of it now was.
The only thing I can spend donuts on now are Burns MBs - which I don't bother with because I've stopped building my multiplier with news vans and I&S boards - and land tokens. Which I also don't bother with because I don't have the item count that'll let me fill in the land.
I used to have a bunch of preferred tasks for characters, now it's just the rock stage that I bother with.
Hiding a few hundred I&S boards and ugly multiplier items was the last thing to keep me busy. Everything else I've done.
All of this suggests that it's now the perfect time to nuke.
Been playing since the literal 3 day beginning. In those first months before the relaunch, it sometimes took this long to be able to log in at all. This lull has given me chance to cleanup my town and finish several half done areas. I’ll keep playing and redesigning until I can’t.
I would very much like to keep playing but with no hope of the inventory system being improved I suspect I will stop before too long. As it is I stopped designing my town several years ago and have just been piling new stuff in the corner behind the Great Wall of Springfield. I would love to finish my town - I have lots of free space - but the thought of hunting through an inventory system that isn't even properly alphabetized is something I just won't do. It is a shame though. I've been playing every day since August 2012.
@kromkromkrom has a great solution. Starting a new town opens the possibility of creating a new town (perhaps challenge yourself to purposely avoid - insofar as possible - any resemblance to your first town).
Starting a new town might also surprise you to realise just how hard it is to have no land and no money to purchase the building needed to progress through the next level.
At least, that's what I've been told. I've never had a second town, so I'm not what you could call an expert on this. [Annette pauses for gales of laughter to die down]. [Annette realized that she has forgotten the password for annettemarc3 through annettemarc10 so is unable to go see how they're doing. Not to mention ForumNerds. Or Nighthawks777.]
I still have those towns connected to my town from the race to the finish. I still use them sometimes
I've already found myself not logging in everyday. I use to log in twice a day on a schedule, 8 hour day tasks and 12 hours night tasks, but now that I have a 5000% multiplier, over 100,000 donuts, and close to a billion cash, with nothing new to spend my fortune on, I don't see the point. It was a good run..
My schedule used to be twice for 12hour task and a few other times for designing and now I'm logging in every few days now as I've no inspiration to design atm with the lack of content plus got plenty of money and donuts ready for when something does come out.
I won't quit the game until they pull the plug.
I have at least 2 months worth of editing to complete my town even if there is no additional content. After the town is complete, I might play with it on occasions.

me. Don't worry, I'm reliable.
No source just a guess like always.
Even with no updates, it's till fun to redesign our towns... that's if they increase the item limit.
Agreed. I might even be tempted to bring out all the future stuff, monorail stations, castles etc.
So much land, and nothing I can put in it.

Or you could get with that
ROTFLMAO
