I've created fresh new installs, meaning.. starting from square one... on non-Apple devices. It didn't matter, the results were the same.
Also, imo (and I realize I may be alone in this), but there is only so far a player should have to go to get a game to work. I've been playing TSTO on Apple devices since TSTO was launched. How many years is that now? 7 is it?
I’ve been playing on Apple devices since 2012 launch. Never have I gotten all these issues that some of you guys experience. I guess I can count my lucky stars. Started on iPhone 3GS before moving over to iPad (3rd generation) in fall 2012. Been playing on iPad Pro 9.7 since 2016 and occasionally on my iPhone XS. I may get one Bart screen once in a blue moon, but it’s usually due to my internet having issues.
I am on a Samsung S8 plus and today has been particularly bad as I couldn't get in with so many Bart screens
@168sean168 Are you having trouble as well? Have you been able to get in and play at least for a little while? If you can, are you able to collect donuts and IGC?
Got in once now at a time when I think both US and UK are sleeping. Managed to play normally and also visited a couple of towns.

When I first started out back when the game launched, I was playing on a brand new iPad mini. I've stayed on Apple devices all along but I did set the game up on a Kindle or two as well back in the day. I've never had this type of trouble until the past few months. And it's constant and relentless.
You got a great looking town~168sean... Checked out your town, WOW! ~daved

Wonderful! The more I read here, the more I think I'm in the minority with the amount of trouble I'm having. For the life of me I just can't figure out how a game that has been quite stable for 7 years all of a sudden has completely broken down

I've only been able to get into my game once or twice in the past month because of server issues/Bart screen. I have officially finally given up on this game. Very fun while it lasted (6 years for me).
It definitely appears that some people got a bit of relief from the crashing with this recent update; and meanwhile there's a few like @Jonalinn that are still plagued with the worst crashing conditions.
It would be interesting to see if there's any commonality, whether it's device type, user ID, origin ID, geog region, date of ID creation, or something else. Could be a magic combination of things we couldn't guess.
But i am pretty sure that it's nothing personal. I doubt they are targeting anyone, like putting bags of flaming poo on your doorstep.
It's much more like a stray dog just choosing to poo on your step.
Every day.
And you never see them do it.
Even though you watch constantly.
I do sympathize. I have stepped in much poo. It always stinks.
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!
I've been having server issues the last couple of weeks. Sometimes I can play, sometimes I can't. Doesn't seem to matter about the time of day/night, I can't see any pattern to it. I've tried all the usual fixes sp now I'm just trying whenever and hoping for the best
I was able to play the new event the first day and that’s all. I keep getting the bart screen. I’ve tried uninstalling, reinstalling. Nothing helps. I’m so over it.

Me too. I have a Samsung tablet. I was at the library and Bart screen came up!
@joniferous , @pixiestix83 Have you tried doing device maintenance to remove memory cache and also make sure storage space is sufficient? There was quite a few times I managed to get in again by doing this.

I am on an iPad as well and I get loads of these problems.
I get Skyfinger, followed by Bart screen then back to Skyfinger, sometimes I get 2 or even 3 Bart screens at startup. At least once a day and today. I could be doing normal stuff in game and then I get Bart screen for no reason, tap Skyfinger screen then I am back in the game again, extremely annoying. Don't think it has done it today but only been on it twice anyway. When I dig up the first relic whenever I login, it always crashes first time, and I mean ALWAYS, that is not once a day, that is once a login, every login. I dig whenever I can, if I have axes and time, I dig.
Sometimes it will crash and exit on other relics as well, just now it did it on the 1st and 2nd, but it could happen in the middle of a batch or at the end, it is a lottery. It crashes when I tap store or place for the first, exits app, go back in, tap store then collect, (It's the wrong way round, always is), dig up second one, sometimes the actions above are repeated, it did tonight. Sometimes when it crashes, it forgets the previous actions, so I dig the same relic up again. I tap store or place, crash, re-enter, play, axes have gone back up, relic in same place, crash. I have dug up the same relic 3 or 4 times in a row before now with crashing in between, yes I probably am saving axes because I know where it is, but it is no fun at all.
Definitely got to be a server fault, not the devices, if it is the devices, then their programming is not compatible with the hardware it is running on.
I wanted to do it yesterday but I will invariably do it tomorrow (ish).

I have three different devices that I have played the game on. My Samsung S10, which due to the recent issues will no longer complete the download. A Samsung Tab3 which will load but leaves lots of empty spaces, and an older Samsung tablet which loads fully, although can be a bit slow due to the memory capacity. For me, the newer the device the worse the issues are.
stating they were working on a fix for the Android issue, but had no date on when this would be completed. It appears the issue is affecting other devices running the latest version of Android as well as the Samsung S10.
If we are getting a new update this week, doesn't look like the fix will be in place to be able to download it.
