  • 'Where do the new mini event items fit in?' I hear you all ask.

Well. I don't know. Can't find any of them.

Probably because it's from an easily-forgettable later season episode. But it does mean you can do whatever you like with it!

It looks like your correct, however (non-spoiler) there is a Taco Mat in E1, on the same block as Springfield Arms Apt., that could be a placement for one coming building.

I'm not sure how many seasons the map goes up to but 2 buildings appear in the season 19 episode "E Pluribus Wiggum". General Chang's Taco Italiano and Chili Blasters are part of Fast-Food Boulevard along with Dead Lobster, Lard Lad Donuts, Krusty Burger and Vesuvius Pizza.

The other 2 buildings, (Springfield Barbecue Festival and Barbeque Battle Booth) appeared at the Town Square with the Jebediah Springfield Statue appearing where the Vegan Barbecue stall is. The BBB appears in the SBF. The Rocket Pigs appear in a dream sequence by Homer from the same episode (Cue Detective) as the SBF and BBB.

Not sure on where the Hot Dog Maker was since it appeared in an alley in a seedy part of Springfield from the "Dial "D" For Diddly" segment in the Treehouse of Horror XXII episode.

    This is really useful, thanks!

The SBF is absolutely huge though. Maybe even one whole land square? it's too big for the town centre in my town, so that's a shame. At least if it was a skin (not sure how that would work...) it would be possible. I can move the restaurants into the right area, but not the SBF. It does fit in well with the county fair stuff though.

I saw this image in the first page. Is this map accurate?

No problem, I was surprised that the SBF was at the Town Square. At least it does fit in with other items like the Taste of Springfield and Springfield Farmers Market.
  • we really need more then tho, its been like 10 updates without any new land? i always ran out to make the map the most accurate.
  • Wow, where to begin with this update.

I don't recall the episodes these items are from, but I couldn't find anything on the map! Not even the rather plain business included amongst the wackiness. Is it going to be a pure fantasy? a destination area set apart from the city (this, for me), or something else?
  • Madame and Masseur (S22E18, The Great Simpsina) could probably be fitted into one of the shop-heavy areas. As for the rest of the new stuff, there's the Chinatown area in Springfield, which most of the new decorations (not too sure about the buildings) should fit right into.
  • I didn't see any of the new buildings and decoration on the map.

Tipsy McStagger's (the research lab mad an appearance but I'm not sure on the building itself appearing), Harv Bannister and Colette (maybe the Beer Bottle Fountain as well) appeared in the "Flaming Moe's" episode.

The Bendy Elbow and Five O'Clock Somewhere's appear near each other in the "What to Expect When Bart's Expecting" episode when various barflies went on a bar crawl to different bars.

Ramen Coma appeared in "The Dad-Feelings Limited" episode somewhere in Springfield when Homer, Marge, CBG and Kumiko went there after winning trivia night at Moe's.
  • I have some gaps in my town where the buildings will fit perfectly to fill up the block. Tipsy McStagger's looks like a Tudor England house, so that can go in my London destination area. The fountain is going in my Krustyland area, replacing a beer fountain.

I am nervous about the item limit again. Need to put buildings in place to cover up flowers and hedges so having buildings with no set position works well at the moment.
  • Most of the items in this event can be put into different areas including a Noir/Black and White/New York area, an Anime area, Princess and Castle area, and a candy area. The items in Act 4 are all from different episodes and have different themes.

Gimbel's Department Store is from New York City so it be put in a New York area but it does also go great with King Homer's Skyscraper. The Alternate Universe Computer appears in the Power Plant so it can be added there. The Paddy Wagon appears in the episode In the Name of the Grandfather so it can be added to an Ireland area or a bar area.

The Private Investigator Office looks a bit like Dexter Colt's PI Office (or Dexter Colt, PI) which appears on the map (E5) near Florence of Arabia and the Maison Derriere. If it is Dexter Colt's Office then it is the only item from this event to appear on the map.

I'll answer this since it appears no one else has...

The SF Guide map was illustrated by a fan, not Matt G. So "accuracy" is technically not possible.

But even if it were an official illustration, "accuracy" is still a word that doesn't exist in Springfield, as we've seen buildings in the show placed in various locations. So nothing in the town is set in stone.

But, this thread is one of the oldest, and most contributed to in the forum. It's iconic at this point. The Guide's map offers a structural foundation, which can eliminate a lot of annoying indecision about where to place items.

It's also super cool to see so many people attempting to build the exact same layout. Everyone doing this will have a very similar, yet obviously different SF. That's got to be cool to participate in, and only these committed players can share in that unique joy. I would love to see all of their towns on display to compare them to each other. That would really highlight each designer's unique perspective; like everyone drawing the same nude model! (LOL)

So get on board; or don't if it's not a commitment you want to make. But don't worry about accuracy in SF at all, if you want to protect your sanity.

Personally, I'm designing scenes in-game that match scenes from the show. It's fun to mirror what I've seen on tv, but it causes a lot of stress based on the limits of orientation (only two-sides rather than four-sides to rotate to).

    Happy tapping!
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!
  • Hi, I started Tapped Out 2 - 4 weeks ago. Is there anything I need to know about the game?
  • Thank you
  • WE HAVE A BUILDING ON THE MAP!!

The Bail Bonds is located to the left of the Springfield Police Dept and Jail, right above P.Q. Butterfat's, in Section D3.

    Awesome. Thanks as usual!
  • Seems that the older versions of the map have disappeared from this thread. Not sure why. Username change? user deleted, it says.

Anyway. The incoming update has a lot of non-canon items, so it probably means an out of town adventure park. BUT there is an ad agency listed. We have one already from Springfield Heights, but there are 2 on the map.

One is by Jittery Joe's/SleepEazy Motel and Ye Olde Off Ramp. The other is labelled McMahon & Tate (not Van Brunt & Churchill) by the Bank of Springfield/Monorail Station/Dr Monroe's.

There is also a Military Base listed. I am going to make that my Air Force base over by the airport.
  • So if you didn't know yet the latest update has expanding the Springfield Heights area meaning: Lake Springfield, Wildlife Sanctuary, The Seathing Sisters, Springfield Gorge, The Murder Horn and Mt Carlmore can be placed in their respective spots finally.
  • Mine are all on *this* side of the mountains. My SH area is for special event projects like Japan, Vegas Casino Land, mini Europe and the video game land thing from before.

Other items include: Big and Tall, Steamed Hams and Jackpot Realty (which also seems to be off-map). Steamed Hams HAS to be in sight of the Skinner house. Big and Tall, hm, I couldn't see it, but then I was working from an older version of the map as it seems to have disappeared from this thread.
