Also in the pic, used some white fences to try to give the cobblestone walls a different look since I use a lot of them in my town

Your pic reminding me of a share fence line i recently created by combining two fences and creating a new look, white with the boardwalk fence on top.

@ maciesdad - news vans, great idea. Very nice touch! I likely. :)

@ melody- super cute idea, completely made me smile. :D
Thank you. And I have to say your simple, but effective idea of covering the front of the houses with trees to change the front, is going to be a game changer in my town

Yes, like I said, I am a huge fan of the technique. It really makes a world of difference in a town.
I also found I could take the White House to another level when combined properly.. :)
Here is one of my houses i am very proud of which i put together specifically to help fill in my high end neighborhood.

Perhaps you have seen this before but I did feel pretty darn good when I came up with how to make north facing seats to the Open Air Stage :P

I used the boardwalk bench for seating and the boardwalk wooden fences to create the backrest.

    2 things.
    1. I hope you don't mind if I steal that idea for seats at my stage, brilliant.
    2. Someone better save Carl, he looks like he is about to drown in your river....

Thank you Chris. I have been playing landscape type games for a couple years now. I really love them, I think they bring out the artist in me. :)

I very much like the boardwalk fence with the small hedge too. I stumble onto to certain combinations I like by trying a lot of different things. My goal is to try and use different styles through my town to keep it fresh, mix it up a bit, and avoid overuse one particular style or item, yet maintain a feeling that the town belongs together as a whole.

I used snapdragons as outdoor vases to hold my flowers.

I'm never going to getover the fact I elected not to buy that Smithers Perseus statue if people keep posting pictures of it...

I never tire of the creative threads, in particular 3D effects. Pharrah, your ideas have inspired me for a while now. You certainly have an eye for making the game stand out with flair. Also, emmcee's waterfall is brilliant. I've mentioned before in other posts that I have given up on finishing my town. Partly because I don't have the time. In the end, I enjoy building things then dismantling them. Think of it as Simpsons lego and you get the appeal for me. This is no surprise since lego was one of my favourite toys as a kid.

    Peace.
