Once it loads, it runs perfectly. Loading is the problem. Usually have to force quit to get it to load. This didn't happen before the update. (iPad Pro.)
I'm happy for you all. I am really upset for me, my game is not working, it knocks me out and it also freezes. I am playing on a kindle fire.
This is clearly a thread for people who have no issues. It could help to know what devices are having problems. You have posted this message on three threads, which is just spamming. It is frustrating for sure, but this is a players forum, not EA support.

It works on my spare but not on my more advanced game. Tablets are sat next to each other. I have my "best" tablet which is a Samsung then my spare Lenova and my spare spare Huawei. None of them are very old. Battery life is rubbish on the Samsung hence the other two cheapies. It is the little Huawei which is working. Off back to sulk.
I have 2 Kindle Fires and neither can connect. I spoke with an EA "support staff" member yesterday who said he had not heard of ANYONE else having problems and that I just needed to clear my cache. Well, I am sorry to say that did not work. I have cleared the cache, removed the app and reinstalled it (3 times), turned off the device, waited and restarted it. NOTHING works. I am ready to say goodbye after close to 5 years due to the frustration.
Me too.Kindle fire ( not an old one, its new). Cant play now as it crashes after seconds. I've been playing over 5 years. Seems a shame but I may have to give up on tapped out.

I can't understand why two people have flagged this firstly. As for when support tells me that, I respectfully tell them how wrong they are and how it is quite a simple matter for EA to monitor their own forums for info to know about problems being widely commented on and to please connect me directly to the next level of game support who actually knows what they're talking about.
Playing on a new Amazon Fire 8 and have had no problems. Baby Homer, is currently out growing his cuteness.
I hate to tell the Kindle users but as I learned during the Flanders event, older models were no longer being upgraded enough to support the tsto updates. It was sad because it's still a great little tablet but this was going to start happening with many of the apps and games running on it.

It is perhaps because you are posting about it not working, in a thread that clearly indicates that it is to get information on who it IS working for. There is a long thread about it not working, so why hijack this one. I did not flag you but wondered why you posted here also.

I guess I don't get the purpose of this thread. I usually play on Kindle Fire but keep getting bumped. I CAN play on Android. A thread about problems being fixed makes sense, but (with all due respect) why create a thread essentially saying, "I can play today just like yesterday?" Where was this thread 2 weeks ago? I don't mean any disrespect; I just don't get it

I am the thread creator. If you had read the very first post, you would know why the thread was created. 😉

There was also a secondary purpose. We know that EA does look at this forum. It became clear very quickly, when people who had issues were posting in the thread about that, and people who were not were posting here, which hardware was having the issue.
Some of this is a courtesy thing. This thread clearly identifies what it is about, and if you don't agree, or understand, or are not interested, you have the choice to respect the creator of the thread, and not hijack it. Many of us don't understand why the "post in the thread about the thread" is so difficult for some people. We have lost some great conversations because of this. I very much support everyone being entitled to an opinion. This is mine. Cheers.

I thought the thread was helpful because of the fact that it allowed us to gather feedback on which devices were working. It may have been a tiny bit tongue-in-cheek but with at least 7 threads essentially saying the same thing it doesn't hurt to have one thread for the rest of us.
I'm sure once EA sorts out the issue they will do what's right for those that missed act 1. It was super short anyway, finished it before Friday. Gil deal steals the show and that'll be available for a few more weeks...I think, clicked on it too fast to see the timer. LoL
