I too can not connect to server as of last night ..
I deleted the game and tryed to re download but it would not ..said there was an error from the download server.
So I reset my tablet and re installed everything but still the game will not connect ..
I have the same problem.. iPhone4.
Done all suggestions with no luck..

I've got the same problem. No login for almost 2 days. I purchased a lot of things for cash recently and would like to keep enjoying my Springfield. But no connection at all. What's the problem and how can it be fixed? Things always worked very well on my Android phone... until now :-(
Me too. It stopped connecting on Saturday July 20 and still won't connect mid-day Monday. It is happenning more and more as the game progresses. Maybe EA didn't want the game to last this long and they want to discourage all of us. And with no feedback or explanation that I can see anywhere that acknowledges or discusses the problem, they are doing a great job of that.
I'm from Austria and can't log in since about 36 hours....
It could be a problem of the server, but a friend of mine is still able to sign in on my phone .... but he could'nt visit my town..... ("problem to connect to the server")
Could it be a problem with my account???
I haven't been able to connect since Saturday night. I checked this forum and some said try another device. When I did it told me my previous game hasn't saved yet. To go back to that device.
EA's complete lack of response to this issue and so many people having this issue is ridiculous!
I have spend REAL money on this game and better not loose any progress because of this issue or I will expect a full refund.
Everybody needs to contact EA support about this so they know it isn't just happening to a few people. I've been locked out for the past two days, and I've been going back and forth with them. No real progress yet, but at least they know about it.
Contacted EA support and got a canned response email that told me nothing and then told me my issue was resolved! NO IT IS NOT. Haven't been able to log in since Sat. Level31 too. In fact I checked on my computer in iTunes and it doesn't show up in the App section at all. it shows that I have it on my iPad but doesn't show it in the list view. So, I conclude they have a HUGE systemic problem which they are unaware of or ignoring.
There is a growing thread in the game status forum so it seems to be an issue. I've raised this with EA who say they'll get back t me in 5 to 7 working days. No rush boys......

Samsung Galaxy S3, not a wifi or data issue...definitely something up with the EA Servers and the latest update.
Iphone5 and iPad
