I cannot run this 4.39.1 update on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 with Android 4.2.2, it just shows a black screen and then drops out. I also have a Point of View Mobii Tab P780 with Android 4.4, and it plays for a minute and then drops out. I cannot afford to buy a new tablet just to continue playing, I have always played it on my Samsung.

That sucks, if you have a decent PC you could run Tapped Out in the Bluestacks android emulator (recommend at least 8GB RAM / Quad core CPU).
Also there should be a way to update the OS on your Samsung tablet even if it means installing a custom ROM, It's unfortunate Samsung always stops updating older devices even when they're perfectly capable of running a newer OS.
The oldest device I have here is a Samsung Note 2 w/ 4.4.2 KitKat and Tapped Out is running on it without any issues.
FYI Bluestacks is unauthorized by EA. As such it is against the rules to mention it on the open forum. @dgsmobile4152 Make sure that youhave enough space on your device. May be as much as 5 gigs needed to be free.
Make sure your device OS is updated and clear your cache. Maybe a clean install would help, if you are not anonymous.
If it still won't work, contact EA and let them know what devices you are unable to get it to load on.

I have updated on play store and I still have the same problem as 2 weeks ago. Does anyone know if this is going to be fixed for those of us who still can't play please?
@pen21vat If you are not playing anonymously, you might try a uninstall, clear cache, reinstall. Do not play until it is fully done downloading, even though it says you can. Also reboot your router/wifi.
If it still doesn't work for you, you will need to contact EA so they know it is still happening on some devices.

I have also been contacted by EA Answers, and i have supplied them with some information about my tablet, and have been told the problem is being referred to the team to investigate. Hopefully they will find a solution soon.
my game does nothing but crash 2-3 minutes in after the update. I was fine prior. Galaxy note 9 plenty of storage space as well. also exited the game with exactly 30 donuts yesterday came back in and had 27. there's a donut thief running around my town

I clicked this link and immediately got 5 spam emails titled "answers". Something's fishy with this link and I suggest avoiding it.
What you got are emails from Answers HQ, and they are just alerting you that you earned an achievement on the EA site (such as Logged in 5 times, etc.).

These are perfectly legit. Nothing fishy.
