I upgraded my device just so I could break the harpies syndrome so yes I would! But I never upgrade the software until I know the game is fully compatible!

Just did - replaced my original iPad (TSTO was just barely playable) to an iPad 4, yesterday. (And replaced my iPhone 3gs with an iPhone 5 last month. To be completely honest, mostly for TSTO.

On my iPad I found that I couldn't have anything running in the background (had to close out all apps that I previously used), couldn't use the scratch-off ever (crash city), and had to go into the game S-L-O-W-L-Y, creeping along to collect rent to keep it from crashing, which wouldn't happen playing on either phone.

Of course, it could be that I just have too many apps installed (in addition to a newer version iPad, I also got one larger - 32gb - in case that also was part of the problem).

I'm currently wanting to upgrade my device and honestly its mostly for TSTO, the game just kills my phone battery... I really want an ipad mini, I've been dropping hints for the past few weeks that I really want one...

I would love a better device but I also love my iPhone. I also have an iPad2 and MacBook so I would only ever upgrade to a better iPhone. Will just put up with the gameplay for now :x

Didn't upgrade, but lack of Tapped Out was the deciding factor in buying myself the iPad .
