Werewolf by Night (2022). This was just one hour. I thought Disney is rich and I expected a lot of it but turned out rather low budget. So far no werewolf films are better than An American werewolf in London. But overall I still enjoyed it's old school style and was an above average watch for me

Shin Ultraman (2022). This Japanese film appeared to be placed in the same universe of Shin Godzilla. In 2023 they will release Shin Kamen Rider.

I generally like the traditional moments of this film. It was a good watch for the most part until they started to become unconventional and underwhelming. Overall my final rating is above average

New series by Midnight Mass and The Haunting of Hill House creator Mike Flanigan set in a cancer facility for kids who tell each other scary stories. While not as good as those series, this one is still pretty entertaining. Some good creepy images and a solid mystery surrounding the history of the building. The stories the kids tell are interesting too. The only real issue I have is the quality fell off over the last few episodes which relied on emotional drama over continuing the overall narrative that had ran through the season. They are obviously hoping for another season to continue the story. I still rate it a good watch.

Halloween Ends (2022). This was a very different story driven episode almost like a
boring soap drama for a long time. It was starting to be interesting but then it abruptly didn't sense later. The thrills and killings were not great. The best part of the film was the iconic theme music. Overall it was an average watch for me.

Based on the Stephen King novella about a young man who is seemingly communicating with a friend from beyond the grave. I haven't read the story yet but I have to guess it is a story better served to the written page because it just doesn't work very well as a feature film. The actors are good and their relationship is interesting but there just isn't enough to the story to contain it from start to finish. A average watch.

Prequel series to the popular Game of Thrones franchise. I wasn't super excited about this beforehand as I thought it was just going to tread familiar ground but was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Excited for the next season already. A good watch.

Ultraman Season 2 (2022). A six episodes Japanese anime. Each episode is only half an hour. Quite good action sequences. But i feel the season was too short and the story was not fully developed. And it was more like an Iron Man adventure rather than Ultraman. Overall it was still a good for me.

New horror film about a woman who shows up to her AirBnB to find it double booked and that's just the start of her problems. The film does a great job building up tension and dread before the big "reveal", which is very effective. I was a little let down at some of the creative decisions late in the film but it still is a good watch and will certainly surprise you.

Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022). This film has some good mainstream action sequences but at the same time has a lot of silly nonsensical moments like that Scott Pilgrim Vs the World. But at its core I feel that it is an art film and wants to deliver some messages. I don't think it is for everyone but it will likely be listed as an essential watch. For me it was more of an unique experience. Michelle Yeoh acted really well and you could also see the grown up Vietnamese boy from Indiana Jones.

Barbarian (2022). Thanks for the recommended @Rhinomix76. This is indeed a good watch for me. I like that the characters featured are mostly rather realistic, making sensible decisions and the dialogues are intelligent too.

No better way to end the spooky month with a binge of this fantastic anthology series. The themes and quality varies but they are all clever, unique and imaginative. A good watch.

Drama/thriller starring Eddie Redmayne and the always great Jessica Chastain based on a true story. A good watch.

All Quiet on the Western Front (2022). This is a German film. Pretty long at 2.5 hours. War scenes were quite brutal. In between scenes could be quite slow but the awesome soundtrack helped to keep the interest up. Overall it was a good watch for me.

The Curse of Bridge Hollows (2022). This is a horror comedy that is wholesome enough for the whole family. Slightly above average watch for me. I like the smart little actress. First saw her in Stranger Things

Smile (2022). A horror film with a familiar plotline but it was still very interesting. Overall it was a good one.

I loved it. Thought it was one of the best war films I've seen in quite a long time. Yes the battle scenes were brutal and intense.

Enola Holmes 2 (2022). I found the lead character very annoying in the first film. She is more palatable in this one. Overall I did enjoy the film but at the same time it was about providing an education to women's rights and diversity which is not very entertaining.

Jeepers Creepers: Reborn (2022). This is the worst film in the whole series. The starting scene was acceptable but the rest of the film was horrible. This is the worst film I have ever watched in the whole year. Super dull and boring, cheap production like a school project
