The Pale Blue Eye (2022). A period crime investigation drama set in the 1800s. More than two hours long and I watched it over four sittings as I fell asleep each time. Even though it was slow, it still managed to be a bit convoluted for me. Nice for its period costume and set. The reveal was interesting too. Overall an average experience for me.
Yes really slow for me too. But the reveal was good I thought and it did look great visually and the acting was fine. I'd rate it average as well. Not as good as I'd hoped though
The Menu (2022). Gripping thriller horror tale, a good watch but the plot could make you go - this is unbelievable !
Good recommendation Sean! I hadn't planned on watching as I don't really care for cooking related programming but this was really unique and enjoyable.

Yes me too. Until I thought I was spoilt by a YouTube video who used a thumbnail picture with some phrase that indicated to me that this was a thriller film. I voiced my unhappiness in the comment. Channel owner changed the thumbnail and apologized to me. I told him too late! But as it turned out, his sentence was misleading as the conclusion was not what I thought.
Terrifier 2 (2022) A direct sequel to the first film. It was a much better film than the first one as it has a plot that developed the characters. The gore was quite extreme once again, making the other slasher films looked like child's play. Art the Clown reminded me a lot of a mute Freddy Krueger. The film was a bit too long though. Overall an above average watch for people who like gore.
Detective VS. Sleuths (2022). A HK film with veteran actor Sean Lau playing what he is always good at, an eccentric character. In this film he was a detective with an amazing ability to solve crimes. The film has both mystery and lots of violent actions. I think it would be a better film if they focused on making the violent actions more realistic as too much CGI blood splatter were used. Overall it was a good watch.
Remember (2022). A Korean thriller drama about an old man who struggled to carry out his revenge before he lost his memory. Action sequences were quite simple but the plot has a heart. An above average watch
What Price Survival aka One Armed Swordsman '94 (1994). A HK film that boldly took an artistic direction to the traditional wuxia, swordman genre. I think the film was set in the early China during the warlords period . It was a story about power struggles, love, and brotherhood. They fought with swords and sabres even though motorcycles and cars existed. It was nice seeing the veteran actors though the young lead actor was not that famous. Overall it was a good watch for me. The full movie actually can be found on YouTube although it removed the violent portions.
Vikings Valhalla Season 2 (2023) Eight Episodes. Nothing significant was happening and the plotline was mundane like a soap drama. It was an alright watch. It wouldn't upset me if they cancel the series at this point as there was nothing to look forward to.
M3gan aka Megan (2022). I really like such simple straightforward films. The Megan dance if you watched the trailer was really fun. I wished the film was longer to focus more on the wholesome relationships. In fact, it would be nice if there is a wholesome film about a good Megan like Vicky from the TV series. Overall a good watch for me.
The Karman Line (2015). This is a short 24 mins drama that is in the Twilight Zone genre. The film managed to make you think about life in that short time. This drama won some British awards. It can be found on YouTube. It was a good watch
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022). Very long film at 2 HRs 40 mins. I guess as a whole it was a good watch. Though I felt weird later seeing the choice of the superheroes.

I agree with your review but I think I enjoyed it a little more. The episodes were fairly short and the plotlines moved along at a brisk pace. Good character development and good action too. Not the greatest series but a good watch nonetheless.

Yeah it was way too long. Would of better with a tighter runtime. Overall it was on par with the first film for me, just okay and the villans being the best part. Some good action scenes and effects

Yes the villain part is the best. Superheroes I went - What??
Plane (2023). Not a dull moment, which means actually not much character developments but it was a fun ride. Production looked cheap. It could have been an awesome film with a bigger budget. But I still rate it a good entertaining watch.
Devotion (2022). The film might be disappointing if you expect it to be a big war film. A large amount of time was spent on drama, sometimes seemingly unimportant. In fact I nodded to sleep often in the first half. The aerial battle scenes were good. In fact most of the scenes seemed to be using actual planes. By the third act I started to appreciate the story and overall I would rate this film as a good watch.
Christmas Carol (2022). A South Korean revenge thriller set in a prison school for boys. Some flaws in the plots and also spent a lot of time on unnecessary scenes but minimal time on scenes that explained the plot. Overall I still rate it as slightly above average
Re/member (2022). A Japanese horror film with a time loop element. Not very scary and targeted at young adults. It is quite endearing though seeing the friendship development of the six teenagers which seemed to be more interesting. Slightly above average watch.

I really liked this movie good twists and turns! Just when you think you know, you have no idea 🫣

Watcher (2022) A very simple film but is pretty good at building suspense. It also has a pretty good ending. Overall an almost good watch
