Serious question: why bother with upping your multiplier that much? Once you are over 1000, it’s all just coasting anyway. Plus, I would gather with a way bigger multiplier, it would take a lot more time to clear your town. And possible game kick outs? My only reasoning for doing this I think would be for bragging rights. I did up my 1400% to 1500% with the walls today, but I can’t think of any reason to raise it up.
For me a higher multiplier also helps to cut down the need to buy and sell multiple rat trucks. I generally use only about 3 to 5 trucks if I need to do harvesting.
And practically there is no need to do income harvesting anymore for a long time as very soon the income will hit the ceiling. I hadn't done income harvesting in last two years. I did it once in the blue moon to check the state of the game play.
Also generally, there is practically nothing else to do in the game if there are no further designing work to be done. The challenge to raise the multiplier and yet keeping a town looking still fairly decent adds another dimension of play. The accumulation of donuts reserve is also another way of playing the game.
Today's wailing walls I raised my percentage only about 200 plus percent
I’m at max currency and 10,000 donuts. Most of this accumulation happened after reaching 1000% bonus multiplier. I haven’t built rat trap trucks in quite a while. Which is why I can’t see any reason others would need a higher multiplier. “Just something to do” or “try to design around them fun” are reasons that seem like unnecessary work. But if it makes Tappers happy, then why not I guess. 🙂
This is a game not a work. Some like the challenges to see how high they can go. You like to play your way, others like to play their way. Showing your relaxed attitude of playing and not concerned with the numbers is also a bragging, isn't it
No. It was a legit question. And still doesn’t have a better answer than “it looks cool”. It’s not a challenge at all which was my point. Which is totally fine with me if you would have read my post completely. 😆
THIS is why I created this thread with the details in the title so everybody can jump on it and grab as many wailing walls as possible before EA puts a stop to it. No beating around the bush, no need to talk in code, just a race between you and EA to exploit their incompetence until they put a stop to it. If only EA can put as much urgency to fixing the disconnection issues that trigger the Bart screen as they did to stop people from buying wailing walls with in game cash.......
THANK YOU for creating the thread. I understand that many folks here are upset, but as someone already mentioned the glitch story went public on reddit, and in my opinion there's, like, a 100% chance they would have found it anyway within another few minutes.
BTW, it might be helpful if you altered your thread title to indicate that the glitch has now been patched.

Totally agree. EA have shown a complete unwillingness and inability to fix their servers for the last two months and counting, despite it being well known and widely complained about. They’ve failed to communicate to us and left us with long spells of inactivity between events, including starting this event three weeks late. They haven’t listened to our concerns or sought to fix long-term issues affecting the game. They’ve sold premium limited time and characters or skins for cash, then offered them for donuts a few months later instead. Sorry EA, after the way you’ve treated your customers, if you screwed up this one then all the people who play the game deserved to know about it and take advantage, not just a small secret society who get told it privately. Frankly, it’s humbug of the highest order to take advantage of the error privately but then criticise other people for announcing it publicly.
If EA learned of this mistake here (which I seriously doubt) while ignoring the other thread and pages of complaints about the server dropouts, then that’s even more wrong.
My choice for all my Tapped Out news and troll-free friendly chat is the EA officially approved Tapped Out UK
Well, after reading several threads devoted to the wailing wall, I had to see what all the excitement was about.
Boy was I glad that I bothered to check out these threads!
Because of the low price for the wailing wall (as well as others), ended up buying about 3K wailing walls
My Conform-O-Meter shot up from 1000 to 6000% - my cash went up $100 Million OVERNIGHT - and my XP (combined with XP Collider) gets me donuts non-stop anytime I tap any part of the screen.
I was overwhelmed by how much buying those wailing walls affected my overall game.
It allowed me to purchase God within minutes of logging on today.
I want to thank everyone for the heads up on this topic - I feel very humbled by everything that happened in the past 24 hours.
I've always been a grinder on here since this game began, and have worked hard to get my donuts to purchase everything.
I will still continue to grind because that's why I enjoy the game - Find Maggie, Springfield Dump, Lard Lad Donut Factory - to get donuts and obtain monorail track parts - as well as my Yellow Submarine to find tiles in the water.

The only person I was laughing at was you, who laughed first. Are you calling yourself out in your own post? Can you not achieve something? If not, you might want to look up the definition of the word hypocrite. Again, I had no problem with the answers stated, as anyone can tell by my posting of a smiling emoji. I again suggest you reread my original response to the question. Also, there is no “right way” to play this game. You just play it. But that doesn’t mean you can’t learn about other methods of play by asking legit questions.

I got a bunch of them last year. They also pay cash. I'd buy more if my levels weren't maxed out and I didn't have in-game currency pouring out of my ears. As it is I'm spending money on Brambles.
As I mentioned earlier in the thread....I started that morning out at 555%, and am now sitting at over 8545% due to the wailing walls. It has completely changed my entire gaming experience. I'll probably play with them out until I hit the cash cap, and have more donuts than I can spend, then will store them away.
One thing I didn't account for, however, was how LOOOOONNNGGGGG it takes to harvest them every 12 hours. It takes forever to suck up all those bills and XP icons. Is there a faster way to do it? Like, tap them, then visit friends and back and they will all be collected and accounted for? Or anything other than just watching them fly across my screen for well over 45 minutes?

Synching with your Friends List will collect all the XP and money and will start you off with a Bonus Game.
And then cycle into the next (if needed) and so on and so forth.
If you're overwhelmed by all the collecting; don't worry. Bart and Milhouse are there to give you a hand.
Trying to control the horizontal & the vertical. Do not adjust your TV.

Going to the friends list and back will collect all the money you are entitled to, but not all the XP. You will only get a maximum of 2 bonuts rounds after coming back from the friends list, regardless of how much XP was released in your town. If you have more than 2 million XP released, you will get gypped on any additional bonuts rounds you are entitled to.

Agree!! Found this out the hard way. With my gazillion wailing walls, Only the cash fully collects by going to visit friends. XP bar was at exactly 0/1,000,000 and NO bonus donut rounds.
Oh, well. Live and learn.

I feel the same way you do - it did completely change my gaming experience.
My only problem(s) now are:
1 - Whenever I tap an area of the wailing walls with a LOT of money to collect - sometimes my game crashes (like it does anyway a few times a day)
2 - Now my item count is WAY over the recommended limit (to prevent crashing) - would be nice to see the item limits go up a bit higher.
I've got 190 million in cash, so I'm going to buy as many as possible. I was at 555% multiplier, and will simply go as high as it allows. However, this seems to severely cheapen those that worked hard to get there, and I feel bad for them.
I'll figure out what to do with them later...maybe a 5-10 deep wall around my entire Springfield? LOL.
