Serious cannot connect to server issues

I can't connect either. I tried to start the app and I got a screen saying I have been logged off my Orgin account. I logged back in and then got a screen saying server is under going maintenance, I hit retry a couple of times only to get the same messege. I closed the app and manually closed it only to get the same messege. I deleted the app and reinstalled it, now it will not open at all. In between all these processes I rebooted my phone. I've already lost my game once hope I don't lose it again.

    Been having the same issue. Recently got the message that they're currently doing server maintenance. I'm thinking they're implementing the update that will eliminate the option to purchase the halloween stuff.

    I just tried starting it up, launched my anonymous springfield with no option to login to origin.

    Looks like we're going to have to wait out the update. Hopefully its via itunes to fix the "earn +% more money" issues

    Yeah, now getting a screen saying "your other device didn't save your Springfield" but I don't have it on another device. Worried the update will wipe current game play as I have just spent over £30 on donuts today (rare treat) to get some premium characters. Better not loose that.

    It is back up and running for me. In the last couple of days I've also received messages saying "your other device didn't save your Springfield." It scares me because I received these before my account was reset almost a month ago. I don't play this account on any other devices.

    Well I managed to get back in and log into my account, but nothing fundamental has changed with th game - ie we are still on Halloween.

    I haven't been able to log on since yesterday - just keep getting Cannot Connect to Server. I've checked and I'm connected to wi-fi, all my other apps work.

    Haven't been able to connect for over 12 hours now.. Done absolutely everything I can think of to try and make it work, including deleting the game. I'm in the same boat, got message saying something About my game on another device, hope I don't lose my Springfield. This is pretty ridiculous, I understand needing to update the game since Halloween ended a while ago but now after installing the update the game won't work at all? Grrr! Everytime I see the image of Bart standing there with the cord, I want to punch him in the mouth,

    I'm able to connect for maybe five seconds and then I get that "Cannot Connect to Server" error. So I click retry and the same thing happens. This has been happening all day long. I don't see others having this problem. Why me? I've rebooted my iphone. It didn't help. :-(

    Few things... You have 60 days for apple to give you a refund

    After that u r hooped.

    Next... It may be yiur game is downloading.. Its a 128meg file so your internet or EA server could be slow.
    Have a beer give it time. :twisted:

    I completely understand the frustration you are experiencing with the server connection issue that is preventing you from playing your game. Please try the troubleshooting steps below to try resolve your issue. I apologize beforehand if you run across a step that you have already tried.

    - Change your connection method (3G to Wi-Fi or vice versa)

    - Power cycle your modem and router: (if applicable)
    1. Unplug your router, then your modem
    2. Leave both unplugged for about 1 min.
    3. Plug in your modem, then router

    - Log out of your Origin account and log back in.

    - Exit the game, then turn off and reset your device. Then try starting the game again.

    - Ensure you are running the most current version of the game (check to see if there is an update available for the game through iTunes).

    1. Go to app store on the device.
    2. Go to Updates.
    3. Update game if needed.
    4. Update app for game.
    5. Relaunch App/Game to see if the issue is resolved.

    - Make sure your device has the latest software:

    1. Download the latest version of iTunes from http://www.apple.com/itunes
    Note: If you already have iTunes installed, open it and select Help > Check for Updates. Then install any available updates.

    I also can't play anymore. My friend had the problem after the update,so i let him log in on my device.
    Well now every time i join bart pops up and I can't do anything, not even log out..
    * this ,i finally stop playing this game.

    I can play ONLY MY GAME -- and that frequenly says "server not found" - I was fine until the Thanksgiving update !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot go to any 'friends' games at all !!!!! Argh !!

    The crash is because some of ur friends didnt update, but cant know who, So you have to delete all of them. Get another game ex Monopoly Hotels login with ur origin acc and delete all of ur friends. Spreed this workaround so ppl can play again.
