Edwina's 4hr Job
Wow, didn't realise that Brexit was such a big thing worldwide that it has made in into the Simpsons game lol, I know that most of us in the UK are sick of hearing about it.

Need help, check out this awesome help thread, https://forums.ea.com/en/the-simpsons-tapped-out/discussion/97993/tips-for-players-other-links/p1

In all seriousness, they moan about it's gonna take years to get any kind of deal sorted and how we'll still be paying into the EU, etc etc ... but until we actually start the process of leaving and getting round the table to start on negotiating those deals, then we can start making the final payments and the years of negotiations will start to pass...
But as for Edwina... she went straight into currency gathering as I only bought her this morning after starting this weeks event late...
Unrelated but I was hoping her 8 hour task would have been at one of the phone booths, either the red one from over a year ago or the blue one that's always in the store.
Brexit is in the news a lot in the USA.
I read that someone in Scandinavia who used to live here was adamant that we would be out in two years, I'm not sure if he had a romantic idea of a countries' politicians and their civil service or just naive and gullible, but I said it would be at least five year's of grief, or even ten.
After serving an internship in Parliament with good pay, lucrative expenses account and a gold plated pension, the MP's leave Westminster and go on to their real job with a company closely aligned with the E.U., (maybe), where they will earn even more on the E.U. gravy train, hardly surprising they didn't want to leave.
They have continually tried to manipulate the public with lies and supposition, even trying to force a second vote.
I used to work for an electronics company that made transformers, chargers and other bits for Casio and Makita, to name just a couple.
In 2002, before I accepted redundancy, we were making radio chargers for the U.S.
I was told the supplier was charging the U.S. cost price, but they were paying us the full price to make them and it was an urgent rush job.
I was told the chargers were to go in New York fire engines to replace those destroyed when the Twin Towers came down.
Our lines producing transfomers for mobile networks had been shut down, some because they were now obselete because they had been updated, others because they had been shipped out to an E.U. country, so we were doing more for the other lines, such as chargers.
The NYFD chargers were plastic, brown with a black trim. On some night shifts, a friend of mine had secured the LED PCB, I took them off the conveyor belt and held the wires in place with clothes pegs while I glued them with a glue gun and carefully stored them in boxes ready for the day shift to assemble. They were not to have even the slightest scratch on them.
We were doing more and more work on the electronics lines making chargers and other items, on one occasion, we were put on the electronics lines conveyors on day shifts to do these NYFD chargers.
A lady secured the PCB to the base, can't remember if she plugged the LED in or me, but I screwed the two parts together, then it was back onto the conveyor for the next stage.
These chargers were British made.
On one night shift when we had been doing our work on the 116 Line, transformers for mobile networks, we had a large pallet come in from the land locked E.U. country where our business was being shipped out too, and we were to repackage them, they were the same product but the quality was non-existent.
The printed part number and date of manufacture had to be perfect on ours, on theirs, it was like a big smudge on every one, completely unreadable.
We could not have any stray wires, theirs had loads.
Theirs had such a high failure rate on inductance tests that we were breaking the cores off and re-doing them with our own cores.
In the end we were told, "Leave it, put them back and send them on"., I think they had talked to the customer and had decided on a course of action that I was not privy too.
I saw what was left in the box, every one would have been rejected if it had been made here, just for faulty printing alone they looked terrible and so they would have been checked and discovered the other faults as well.
I think several of the office staff kept their jobs working somewhere else on the continent, a couple from the shop floor may have been kept on over there but I don't know for sure.
Over a hundred British jobs, just gone.
The Remainers have lied saying the E.U. protects British jobs, the E.U. has been asset stripping the UK and chucking British jobs on the scrapheap for years.
If EA were to do a major event, not mini's put together, I mean a proper major event with land tokens and crafting and everything about Brexit across all four Acts, perhaps then they may realise just how much damage they have done.
Ok, rant over and I am well and truly done, my eyes are stinging.

Interesting, Out of curiosity, what's the US media's take on brexit?

I don't know if anybody really cares.
looking at what you posted seems very similar to what we get about your president and respective houses, as you say each side has their own agenda and have zero interest in posting the truth.
Have to agree with that, Trump and everything else gives us respite from Brexit, and more so than hearing about corrupt European politicians as well, in fact there was another one in the paper today. She had her phone wiped while in the middle of an investigation for "Security reasons".
The world is being led into a new dark age, where many poor people will die. The food and water supplies will soon be too contaminated to sustain the population so we must be culled.
Then there will be a new renaissance when the AI tech finally allows the rich to build armies of slave robots and drones to replace us. The working class is allowing itself to be led into obsolescence. Then finally, the one power the people have, collectivism, will be GONE. Check mate.
The "post" apocalyptic part should be very nice for the privileged, with the drones delivering their food by air from Amazon. Its the apocalyptic part im worried about, where they finally stop pretending to care about everyone thats not inside a gated community. The toxic water of Flint, Michigan is just the tip of the iceberg. Add the E.Coli in the veggies , and the bird flu and the mad cow, etc etc thats all happening now; the food chain and water supply are already failing. This is not future speak. Anyone unaware of the toxicity of our fragile food chain must be living in a cave.
Mostly negative. The government is portrayed as inept (though that's true of most countries) and that the people of Briton are tired of the whole thing.
Usually when they show a pro-Brexit citizen the response is "I want my country back." On the flipside when they show a Remain citizen it's usually "I don't know what's going to happen to my small business."
The 3 national news telecasts here do lean left.
The general view of Brexit in Oz is that, regardless of the referendum and election result, the process it took to get there was full of stupid.
That's a bit of false equivalence. In many many examples, Trump and the GOP are putting forth blatant lies while the other side is not.
