I know nothing about the upper two charts. They're so tiny I can't even read them.

They are tiny aren't they, I had to expand and that felt weird looking at it.

No. You get everything in line A, then line B, then line A again, B... I've always gotten the payouts in that order.

Interesting, I had absolutely no idea it worked like that.
So I am on Row D or E then, I will keep compiling my list.
    Thank you.
I wanted to do it yesterday but I will invariably do it tomorrow (ish).
  • So, I spent 400 donuts on 139 mystery boxes and I closed the Inventory each time before buying the next MB. I got 21 IS, 17 NV, and 10 LL for an increase of 57%. I tried to line up my results in this chart with girl22721 sequence. The red letters are my guess for the closest match.

Your output does not match the @girl22721 chart at all.
It also doesn't match the Charles chart that I posted earlier as text (which for some reason got splatted)
    Here it is again:rwmjbk0qkco5.png

Nowhere in either chart do 2 KKs appear together.
I'd say either there's a third payout chart that hasn't been compiled or your payout chart is corrupted (I'm leaning toward the former because there IS a pattern.
What you could try doing is a clean reinstall of the game.
    1. Make sure you know your user name and password.
    2. Uninstall the game.
    3. Turn off your device (NO don't restart. Turn it OFF)
    4. Wait a couple of minutes (this clears active RAM)
    5. Turn on and reinstall the game making sure you DO NOT TOUCH THE SCREEN OTHER THAN TO ACCEPT THE LICENSE AND ENTER YOUR AGE UNTIL ALL DOWNLOADS COMPLETE. (I put that in so other people will see it, too).
Meanwhile... I started charting my payouts a couple of days ago and I just determined that I'm on the last B in the Red line of the @girl22721 chart.
    Lard Lads
Pond, Shelter, _onda, 30 Donuts, Billboard, Van
Khlav, Pond, Shelter,10 Donuts, Billboard, Van, Lard Lads
    Khlav, Shelter, _onda...
I'll keep charting for a while just to see when it switches over to Blue

    Hey @frosted1414
Can you compile your data as a text file? It occurs to me that (doh!) my husband is a mathematician and so are 2 of the other members of our Linux group...
Heck, with text data I can manipulate even I might be able to find a pattern.

Seeing as my record of BB, CO, MP, LL, matched a pattern, I thought, Yeah, I'll go for it.
I bought one and got 30 donuts.

I had got MB's before, but didn't have many donuts and there was stuff I wanted to buy too.

But because I got stuff I could have bought anyway, I shyed away from MB's because there was stuff I wanted and I could not know what I could get next.

I'm more likely to buy a box now if I know what it could be as I'm still saving donuts.

    @wadebear like this?

Yes, exactly. Text data I can take sections of and do comparison searches.
The first set is where I did not close the Inventory:
    KK,CO,30,IS,LL,{snip}MP,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
The second (non-contiguous) set I did close inventory:
    KK,NV,KK,KK,IS,CO,30{snip},10,IS,NV,
Are those two data sets contiguous or did you you buy any Mystery Boxes in between them?
8S = Bomb Shelter because the swear filter doesn't like me.
Ahhhh. That's how you managed it.
I'll take a look at it later after we get done watching TV for the evening and I get my physical therapy done for the day. (Don't get old, it's a pain. Find eternal youth before it's too late.)
  • I finally won a mystery box today for completing 5 Daily Challenges in a row.

All I got from my box was a Lard Lads Donut building, which I already had a couple of from previous mystery boxes.

I haven't won either 10 or 30 donuts from mystery boxes for a long while now.

You can also buy them. They cost 6 donuts each.

    You're behind. I have 119.
I haven't won either 10 or 30 donuts from mystery boxes for a long while now.
If you have the @girl22721 payout pattern you'll get one either in the next 4th or 5th box you open. If you're on the Charles pattern... It could be a while or that might be the next thing you get - the Charles pattern is wonky.
  • I personally don't buy Mystery Boxes since I
know I can get them for free eventually when I sometimes compete either 5 or 10 Daily Challenges in a row.

I much prefer to save my donuts to buy characters or items that I really want from the Yearbook instead.

Or when I eventually have gotten the stuff that I want from the Yearbook, to go then buy the 4 remaining Beach Hideaways to further increase my multiplier. I already have one Beach Hideaway in my town that I got from the Yearbook a while back.
  • @baksinengl89 the only reason to buy mystery boxes is to increase your bonus %. With a high enough bonus you will always have enough donuts to buy everything. If you are interested in increasing your bonus I recommend first buying and upgrading those beach hideaways (the defacto best value for bonus %) then lots of MBs

Here's a completely colorized version of your first data set.
    p531nsqo6xa8.png
as you can see by following the colors with your eyes (down left down left) there's a definite pattern there, which my husband the mathematician confirms. I tried to do a data analysis on it by hand with simple search patterns but mucked it up. I'd have to figure out some way to automate the analysis with a script or something because it takes too long by hand. Plus I just don't think there's enough data points yet. You'd have to keep recording your hits.
I did the same colorization with your second data set and it looks very similar to the first set, but once again without more data I just can't do any further analysis.
I'm working on making up a color chart of the @girl22721 pattern that most people have so I can post it up. The current set up with pictures and 2 strings of letters is very confusing. I can already tell it's going to be at least twice the size of your data set, and it may be even bigger.

    @frosted1414
So I have some more info that affects your Mystery Box payout pattern. I'm now working on pushing up the Multiplier in my Galaxy game (the other data is from my Fire game). I was moving along the @girl22721 data set when I got kicked out of the game. When I restarted and resumed buying Mystery Boxes I found myself several items back in the list. The next item should have been a Lard Lads, instead I got 30 donuts again.
So if at any point in buying Mystery Boxes you got kicked out of the game (without having just saved by going to your Neighborhood and back) your entire data set is invalid.
As an additional note for everyone following this thread: The changeover between Blue and Red lines was confusing, but I finally figured it out. I was moving along the Blue line and got CDCD - at which point i expected an E - but instead I got another C and D, followed by a G. So when I got CDCDCD I was transitioning from Blue to Red.
I haven't figured out yet how many times you do the red and blue lines before you switch. It's at least 3. In my Fire game (AKA game #3) I started recording my payouts and determined I was on the Red line and I've been repeating the Red line ever since. It's slow going because I'm buying Mystery Boxes as I get donuts. I'm currently getting about 60 donuts a day (KEM farming + Where's Maggie + character and building payouts + Daily Challenges), so I'm only buying roughly 10 MBs a day.

Ok... So I started work on pushing up my multiplier on my iPad game and discovered that it has the Charles payout order. I also did some research and found that the data I have is incomplete - there are more sequences in the Charles system than are listed including double sets of 30 donuts, so @frosted1414 you probably have the Charles set.
I also did a basic analysis of the info I've compiled so far. In my Galaxy and Fire games I'm paying 8.05 donuts per 1% rise. In my iPad game it's 9.1 donuts per 1% rise. In the 2 data sets you posted 8.2 donuts per 1% for the first set, and a startling 6.9 donuts per 1% in the second set. Mind you, this analysis is from very small data sets so it's not conclusive. You'd have to do a complete run through the entire payout sequence of either system to get the complete picture.
I'm working on that. I keep running out of donuts so then I have to Rat Trap Truck farm for a while to get more. So it'll be a while...
  • Well I won an Itchy and Scratchy billboard two days ago from a Mystery Box for completing 5 Daily Challenges in a row.

Sigh, I dunno when I am gonna win either 10 or 30 donuts again from a Mystery Box at this rate.

I got a Minnow Pond on the 1st ot August.

    Though I don't see how that's a prize.
If it was a Coloured House, (yeah), or even a Brown House, (yeah), or something else that costs a lot of IGC, (yeah), but a Minnow Pond.
I read it was to help new players who don't have much to help beautify their towns.

All but one of mine mentioned on here were from DC's, well at least I made sure the five DC's produced donuts before I won my... prize.
