You just got ripped off!

Prev134
I'm wondering if the first time buying them they are cash and any after are more expensive.

Does anyone see the new prices who hasn't bought any balloons?

Yep, I just got the update and they are the Higher Prices and Donuts, bit crappy really not worth spending donuts on.

I don't quite see why it's worth getting angry about. There are plenty of useless donut items and overpriced stuff.

Not to sound selfish, glad i bought them ahead of time before EA decided to give them a donut price tag.

Sonny they were "free" on a weak update and now they are charging money for this, sorry but this **** me off.

It is a pain that they'll update for when they lose money.

Yeah but so what? They're hardly a 'must have' item and you're not forced to get them. Had you not seen the initial update you'd be none the wiser. There are plenty of other reasons to be mad at EA but this isn't one of them, IMO.

Sonny, we can agree to disagree but you can't launch a product and then reprise said item without some opposition. EA has a marketing team, they set the price or so did corporate, they then redacted the price for a new one based on volume of purchase or error. Yes, this has happened, AS I WORK IN MARKETiNG, but it's also horribly tacky and a slap in the face of your existing target demo.

I think EA does lurk in here.. They don't solve our problems but when we find a so called glitch in out favor they're quick to look out for it and fix it.. Just like another game I was playing, people hacked it and we're spreading the word..then next thing you know people were getting banned all over And they were updating constantly so the hack wouldn't work and people kept finding ways around it but since they were putting it up there the developers lurking probably knew just what to do to stop it and stay up step for step lol.. Just sayin, I think they're watching ussss      :lol:

Love ya man, and by the way WaLkiNoNwAtErR has an awesome town, but I do feel they lurk but there is no way they vindicate whistle blowers by resetting or deleting their accounts. If they do I will be getting a fat refund from iTunes via my Amex.

I would guess that they lurk here, see what is working, see what is not, see what people might pay for and so on, but solving problems, no way.

As for getting ripped off, yeah, I can understand the frustration of the price change, but I think I side more with Sonny on this one, not so much a rip off as a oops, we put out the wrong price. Frankly with the release history it was more shocking that nothing was going to cost donuts in the first place, would have been nice, but as they have shown every release has premium items.

Also it should be noted that the only way that you found out about a price difference was because you cheated (not calling you a cheater or trying to imply you are, just the best word I can think of without thinking too hard) and got the download BEFORE they released it to your area. So in essence they have not changed anything to you, you just saw a version before it was officially released.

Good grief, I flew 146,000 miles last year on Delta so your "cheating" theory means you DON'T travel, I do.....and BTW mostly in coach unless I get the sweet stateside upgrade, which is laughable because moving the clock is just a time forwarding procedure and why can't I get the same content as my OZ peeps? Get over it.

They released a upgrade based on the corporate structure that approved it. You can shrug your shoulders if you want and say "whatever" or get mad, and mind you I buy everything premium and donuts to rush jobs at too much money I care to disclose, or get upset that the didn't upgrade anything for our treats, have no fixed ANY bugs, and just make you pay for balloons that aren't that great.......unless you live in Australia.

Full disclosure. Thank God for sales as my professors told me to stay away from writing.

End of day though, EA are a company, they probably have in their Terms somewhere that they can do what they like and change things (and our terms are accepted by downloading the app)

So there's no argument really, but I spose it's a good thing to show that they've conned a few people and maybe will show them that us dedicated players really do care about this game :)

Yea, they can't reset it.. They would lose a lot of money through refunds.. Apple has been giving money out to people who lost their towns so I don't think they will.. Plus with how many millions of players they have it might be hard to track down who did what.. And thanks man, it's ok for they little I got.. Gonna redesign it once I can grab a bunch more land.. Want the Simpson House more centered lol.. Still, Josh your town is one of the dopest on here my dude.. Definitley one of the best I've seen..Haven't brought myself to spend on that much doughnuts yet but I might cave lol..

Honestly Sonny, you are a good board member here and I respect your opinion. Do you really think I am overacting? I spend good money on here and this kinda **** me off.
