The GGR has never been in the Yearbook Mystery Box, and as the YMB does not get new items added, I very much doubt it will ever find its way in there.
Last year, it was available around January for 150 donuts, I hoped it would be repeated as I really needed it.
It came back in February for 150 donuts.
It is possible it will be back around about the same time next year, and of course it will not be less than 150 donuts IF it is.
I wanted to do it yesterday but I will invariably do it tomorrow (ish).
It will be another year I'm sure till it comes back everyone always wants it including me I still don't know why with all the people who do miss it why it's not for sale permeant I'd easily spent 300 donuts for it
Hey bud, listen you're a new member (I'm guessing), so I welcome ya!
However basic Forum etiquette exists, your other thread had a tip from another forumite suggesting you to post threads in the correct discussion.
This is the right discussion thread for this post, however a thread discussing this already exists and is active. It's generally discouraged to open multiple threads about the same topic.
Things aren't too active right now, but people will flag you as spam, just a generally reminder.
EA probably won't add GGR to the yearbook, if they did want to they already would have, they would have added a patch adding it into the list of items instead of re-releasing it.
Somebody missed the GGR? I didn't hear about that!
Honestly I feel like EA hasn't added it as a permanent store item in order to avoid more "we need More land threads".
Sure more land is nice, but unless you have a GGR, your access to all of that existing land is limited, adding more will be locked behind an already difficult to obtain amount of land.
We will have to see what happens......
Probably will be returning next year, however stranger things have happened, they might add it to Black Friday or an end of the year Premium Mystery Box....
I doubt it, but it definitely is possible.
People will still complain about missing it the next time it's released though.....
If it was added permanently they might complain about the price.....
And eventually about wanting more land.....
This is a rare case of EA actually thinking ahead.... Scary.
From what I found, there are no other threads discussing the GGR.
I was actually going back through the pages looking for another thread, but I found a thread called "ea" which was started and closed in May.
And only had 2 posts.
And there was "The Golden Goose Realty Thread- It's back in the store!", which was very busy of course.
But that was closed at the end of April or start of May.
And had over 10,000 posts.
There were other threads before that with posts by people who missed it in January, I don't know where they are but I'm guessing they would've been closed as well.
From what I can tell, this is the only thread, and from what I can tell, I am on here way too much if I know *proverbial* stuff like that.
I wanted to do it yesterday but I will invariably do it tomorrow (ish).
There were 2 threads. I remember seeing them both. Looks like a mod may have combined them into one thread. They have also moved their add me thread to the finding friends section where it belongs.

Thanks, for a second there I thought I had gone crazy.
I need to remember to not eat anything with high amounts of tomatoes before heading to sleep.
The tomatoes acidity plus my stomach's acidity.....causes me to have weird nights.....
Hey, I used to play this game religiously when it first came out. Didn’t play for years and year and recently picked it back up again... Kinda got addicted again LOL... Anyways this is the first I’ve heard of this building... Am I right in saying that there are certain areas of the map that you can only use tokens to open?? I haven’t came across these spaces yet?? Also I have 46 land tokens... I have ABSOLUTELY NO idea where they came from as I haven’t played in so may years... How many tokens are needed to unlock all the squares that can only be unlocked with tokens?? Thanks
Thanks man appreciate your reply. That pic is really useful... that’s crazy though... looking at that though the 46 i have wont get me very far LOL... so does that building produce tokens over time? I hope they bring it back? Why would they lock land like that though... surely they’d want people to get the tokens so people will fill the land up, doesn’t it encourage people to spend more real money on the game by letting them acquire these tokens??

If I remember correctly 2 threads were combined to form, "The Golden Goose Realty Thread- It's back in the store!", as there were a couple of duplicate posts.
Did they think, "The Golden Goose Realty Thread- It's back in the store!", was a bit too ambiguous???
Was does that mean?... should I read it again to make sure?...

I stated a possibility earlier in this thread.
People will still complain about missing it the next time it's released though.....
If it was added permanently they might complain about the price.....
And eventually about wanting more land......
Generally speaking people do like to complain in the forums, so by limiting the complaints to the GGR it creates a more possible solution, one they're hesitant to do.
As Springfield gets larger the lag will increase, either with more and more animations or generally more characters being added.
Krustyland was a failure.
I thought it wasn't bad, just not the right idea....I feel that a separate "Krustyland" like map would be a good idea, except one that allows us to place and store buildings from our main town and vice versa.
Specifically I would have preferred a Shelbyville with "Krustyland Sperate Map" like mechanics, it would still generate cash, not a new income (no Shelbyville Bucks or nothin).
Obviously certain buildings like the Simpsons House wouldn't be able to be placed there....But you get the idea.
However, it seems they're going for the "just expand the main area" idea.
Krustyland is closed permanently....
When they transferred most of Krustyland to main Springfield I did notice some extra lag, although that generally happens in some major events.
They may be trying to Expand land limits before eventually add GGR as a permanent addition.
Even now a handful of players have managed to obtain all available land and are now clamoring for EA to release more land, imagine if GGR was permanently available, how long would it take before more and more players hot that mark and EA becomes inundated with complaints about Land?
It seems moderately reasonable to me. It would take a new player a very long time before they obtain all land that is In-game Cash locked and entering the Land Token only tiles.
Allowing them to have Access to GGR will only accelerate that process, and they'll hit those tiles sooner.
The re-released time was decent, allowing people to buy it for quite some time.
At the moment, new and returning players are the ones affected, but it will most likely be re-released....
There were 2 threads. I remember seeing them both. Looks like a mod may have combined them into one thread. They have also moved their add me thread to the finding friends section where it belongs.

I'm not too sure what you're trying to convey, I'm not implying or accusing you of anything but before this escalates (it might, I hope it doesn't)
Allow me to explain what happened.
kkealan made two posts.
One was an add friend post in the main discussion, he was flagged as spam and told to post it in the right discussion by a fellow forumite.
His second post was one involving the GGR with a couple posts, two of his which you see here, a response from shirley1315 and my reply to him.
I replied for one reason and one reason only.
The forums can be brutal.
Seriously.
Throughout the history some trolls have called this place home, most of not all have left, but any new player or forumite how comes along is expected to understand all rules from the get go along with Forum etiquette.
If it's someone's first time on a forum, or this forum in general they probably won't read the rules.
This ain't my first rodeo so when I joined I did read most of the rules (mainly slimmed) and try to act accordingly.
This was clearly a new forumite, inexperienced and was already flagged as spam on two of his posts.
This forum has also had another history.
Pushing people away.
Arguments can and will occur, some players have left because of this, while most will leave because of gameplay a percentage does exist who find certain atmospheres as toxic and will claim petty posts, and general lack of respect to personal opinions as reasons for them leaving the forums
We are currently on a decline in the forums
Few people expressing interest, or even posting. The threads used to go for pages with the "New" flair besides it.
Some repetitive yes.... But opinions and ideas flowed.
Gameplay, lack of interest by EA is definitely to blame, but so are we.
Sometimes petty arguments, or just put on enforcement of rules to new players without blatant explanation....that can kill the environment and scare people away.
All I was trying to do was explain some basic stuff, so that they wouldn't be flagged as spam in the future, because unless you're a troll who likes that kind of attention.... Being flagged as spam can make you feel ostracized and make you leave the community.
When I posted my reply, his post wasn't merged with this one.
I did mention this in my reply to them however:
This is the right discussion thread for this post, however a thread discussing this already exists and is active. It's generally discouraged to open multiple threads about the same topic.
Things aren't too active right now, but people will flag you as spam, just a generally reminder.
I honestly don't care if multiple threads exist on any topic.... I'll either choose the one that is most active or the one who's direction I agree with.
The only reason I replied to them, and may reply to new forumites in the future, is because I saw that Flag mark... helping people feel comfortable in a community and part of it is helpful to everyone, explaining the rules is also important and I'll go out of my way to try and do that.
I don't want to be an ****, but it's stuff like this that really irks me, I can be a know it all jerk at times, but right now when a handful of people are online and few posts are active?
It's less about getting out of your way and more along the lines, their is nothing better to do, might as well and explain some rules to the new member before they get scared off.
I'm repeating myself, but in the end it is worth repeating, chances are some won't understand even after repeating myself so often.... If a mod want to delete this post go ahead.
A part of me wants to lurk from now on and just watch as new people get flagged into Oblivion...another tells me that chances are PMing them is probably a more favorable route.
Time will tell.
Also time will tell how GGR continues.
Don't forget that Land Tokens can be obtained through daily challenges and such, why they aren't still being offered in mini-events and "events" (if you want to call those glorified mini-events events...) Is a question to me.....
Hi @someonewashere
I was not aware of @kkealan
making a double post as recent as that, the part of the post that did refer, I thought it was about one of the GGR threads.
It seems we have both made comments that neither understood, good job we're not ship telegraph operators, like the ones during the Titanic sinking.
After January, there were a lot of threads, I missed the GGR and so on, some of them were concurrent, but as they got older they were replaced by consecutive ones.
And when it came back in February, it started all over again and some were merged into one thread.
Hence why I said:
If I remember correctly 2 threads were combined to form, "The Golden Goose Realty Thread- It's back in the store!", as there were a couple of duplicate posts.
Did they think, "The Golden Goose Realty Thread- It's back in the store!", was a bit too ambiguous???
Was does that mean?... should I read it again to make sure?...
As it is exceptionally annoying seeing a different thread with the same content, did they think that multiple little threads saying the same thing will get EA's attention, more so than one thread with a high number of views and comments that keeps getting bumped up.
This thread should be the GoTo and there will be duplicates, as this one has a clear title and it could not possibly be misinterpreted.

I wanted to do it yesterday but I will invariably do it tomorrow (ish).
I did a quick search and stopped counting at 9 threads about Golden Goose Realty.
There are many themes that have popped up over the 6 years I have been here, move the mountains, GGR, monorail tracks, more land, heights buildings, and on and on. New people come, and forget that this game is old, and longtimers forget that new people are seeing things for the first time. The things that kill discussion don't change. Personal shots, repeated add me requests, arguing, and starting new threads on existing topics. I miss the old days where we actually had good discussions with tolerance for differing opinions, and trolls were jumped on by everyone, so they went away.
Maybe we will get a good old style event to talk about?
Unsolicited friends requests are all denied. Please PM me.
