Any update from EA re the Neighbours glitch

It’s been around 6 months where some neighbours you can only vandalise no tapping on buildings (I also cannot have buildings tapped on).
I hate vandalism my neighbours, but it’s the only way to show I have visited....the only neighbours who have buildings to tap seem to be those who no longer play.

Please EA it surely can’t be that hard of a bug to fix......

This glitch is not universal. I can tap on some of my neighbor's buildings, but not others. I'm slowly going through my neighbors to see who is still playing and who has the glitch.
None of my new neighbors (since returning to the game a couple of months ago) is affected from my end. I'm wondering if un-friending and re-friending will fix it.
