Christmas Corn

I just planted my corn. Technically it will be done on Dec 24th but like that I have time to harvest if life interferes.

I missed this!!! I only just planted this now!

Last few years I've always had my Christmas Corn planted. Not only that, but I usually time this for exactly midnight on Christmas Eve.

I'll plant this now and but I think but I think that (even with daylight savings time switching to standard time) I can only harvest when Christmas rolls over to Boxing Day.... exactly 24 hours off.

I feel like one of the Marges might help, but witch Marge??? WITCH MARGE??!?!?!

I'm so upset that I am off by exactly six four-hour segments without any recourse...

No Christmas for me this year.

Marge the Witch will reduce the completion time of the crop by 4 hours every time you use her "Speed up..." task. So by using that 6 times you'd reduce the payout time on the Corn by 24 hours.

Hey, maybe we should change the tradition to boxing day corn anyway?
Dunno bout you guys but corn just doesn't seem to go with Christmas Dinner, but boxing day is traditionally a ham dinner when corn would be a much better match.

How about New Year's Corn? Corn would go well with Black-Eyed Peas, Greens, and Cornbread.
And for those of you out there who aren't clear on the concept: cornbread is not white bread with corn baked into it. It's a type of bread made with corn meal and cooked in an iron skillet - you don't even need an oven, so you can make it over a campfire or in a fireplace if need be.

We usually have our Christmas on Christmas Day and the family have theirs on Christmas Day as well, but the family come over on Boxing Day, another dinner, more presents, so Christmas Corn on Boxing Day would not be unusual.
Otherwise it's all presents and all food for eleven people, there will be squabbles and tears somewhere.

I've been so tuned out from playing TSTO over the past couple of months, I totally forgot. Or, maybe I thought I had another month to spare? IDK.

Tell the children there'll be no Corn this year.

Maybe next year, if I remember.

We used to get an orange and apple in our stockings every year, actually, it was just a big sock and the fruit were from the fruit bowl anyway, but, no Christmas Corn, NOOooo.. what next the turkey.

Oranges and apples in the winter used to be a big deal since they had to be grown in a hothouse. Once we got Florida, California, and imports from Mexico... Oh, wow, a piece of fruit as a gift. Thanks so much Granny.

You can do New Years corn. Spring corn. Birthday corn. Saint Patty's corn. New President corn.

I just grow corn year round. When the last batch was harvested, I did the math and realized that it would be done for Christmas.

You can still plant it and then put Witch Marge on an endless task loop.
