Incredible last night. Just incredible. Loved how Walt did one more thing for his family in clearing Skyler's name before he left. That cell phone call was so incredibly emotional.

You think Walt knew the police were listening and said those things that just incriminated himself only? I didn't think that at the time but that makes a lot of sense.

Yes this makes sense to me too.

Yes he did are serious! The talk endlessly on this show how smart he was!! An he kidnapped ther baby after he knew his son called the police to say that his mom was getti g attacked! You would have to be restarted to think that the police were not there!!!!!!

Well Walt is at a very emotional state right now and despite how smart he is, he couldn't see that Jessie was working with Hank when they tricked him to lead him to his buried money. The same could have gone with Walt on the phone with Skyler because Skyler just betrayed Walt after going and working with Walt as a cover all this time so it is feasible to assume Walt was emotional enough to think Skyler wouldn't want to talk about what they do with the police present. And please spell check for future comment. ;)

The Jesse stuff was totally different! He knew that Hia son called the cops that what made him run! Plus he kidnapped the kid!! Not to mention the fact that he had to to think while he was driving were as when Walt was talki g with Jesse it was the spur of the moment that he got caught it! Anys I hope Jesse dies he is a moron! That has to be part off what Walt said when he told her he had more stuff to get done!

True but you can't 100% know for sure Skyler was alone and I already see that Walt knew and did it to protect the rest of his family. Now on to Jesse. I have more sympathy than hatred for the character. Ever since he made the choice to kill Gale so he and Walt could live, Jesse has been an emotional wreck. Unlike Walt, Jesse feels actual remorse and guilt for what he's done and the killing of an innocent kid by Meth Damon sent him over the edge. This was not the business he originally intended nor signed up for. Walt shows no remorse and just chalks it up as the costs of doing business ( He broke bad in the first episode imho). Jesse has an actual backbone and now they are threatening an innocent mother and child (Brock) so he'll cook for them. Jesse is the only character in the show that came to his senses and at least tried to make things right.

Well we'll have to agree to disagree on his character's evolution. On an unrelated note, sweet avatar pic. Love some Al Bundy action!

The flashback in the beginning was awesome, it really made you realize how far the characters have come. Oh, and nobody seems to even be thinking about the fact that there's no way you get away with stealing 70 mil from Heisenberg.

I really enjoy rewatching the whole series from the beginning because there is just so much subtext and little things to analyze that you missed the first time through. It's the show that keeps on giving!! :D

That's exactly what happened. You can see it on Skylar's face when she realizes what Walt is doing and plays along. Everything she says fits in line perfectly with an abused spouse who has lived under coercion.

Of course he got a conscience once Jane died. He isn't the first person under drug addiction that has a life-changing event that snaps them straight and he won't be the last. His growing conscience is perfectly consistent. He's a bad person and he realizes it and is desperately trying to do some good. It's called "character development" and any good story has it. Those reality shows you usually watch lack this trait. :P

He didn't kill Gale to save himself. He killed Gale to save Walt. Jesse was free and could have ran if he chose. He could have hit the highway and not gone to Gale's apartment. He shot a man in the face who had done absolutely nothing to him. Gale wasn't even aware of the "employment arrangements." Gale was still a meth cook but he was very much innocent of the dealings with Walt and Jesse from Gus's perspective.

Then consider that he was involved in the murder and dissolving of Drew Sharp. An absolutely innocent child who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Todd is a psychopath so he shrugged it off. Walt is amazingly good at rationalizing his terrible actions for a greater puprose, or so he thinks. Jesse isn't like that. His conscience is fully intact and this event devastated him.

Not sure why you think knocking on someone's door that you barely know and killing them in cold blood is supposed to be casually disregarded. I don't know where you get your read from but it has never been suggested that Jesse is a psychopath. The event sent him spiraling into unbelievable despair as he tried to cope. Surrounding himself with 24 hour parties. Throwing money away. He stopped caring. His character is amongst the most tragic on the show. Yes, he is terrible for being a meth cook but only Jesse really understood the gravity of what he has done or been involved with and how it has cost him his soul.

To say nothing of the fact Aaron Paul is an outstanding actor.

Jesse turning on Walt was obvious early on. All the signs were there. I believed for the longest time Jesse would be the one to put Walt down but, time will tell.

the show is about Walter good or bad he is the main character. I am not saying he is not a bad guy because he definitely is but the show is written for you to go for him. Did anyone call him a hero. You must be one of the guys that thinks Robin should be the star over batman.

Yes, the show *is* about Walter. How does that also mean you are to mentally agree with everything he does? Marie hasn't done anything to deserve death either. She'll end up with Holly.

Oh wait, let me guess. Holly interfered with his plans and Walt should have suffocated her because, under your tortured logic, those that stand in the main character's way, regardless of that main character's broken morality, need to be crushed and die. The main character is supposed to succeed because, hey, the show's about him.

The show's creator disagrees with you about Walt and the narrative intention of the character. I think I'll go with his take on the series' characters! Pretty good chance Vince Gilligan has a better idea than you. :P

The show is about Walter. he is bad yes. do i agree with everything he does NO. Just like the sopranos was about the mafia and tony soprano. do i agree with what he did NO.

The only reason Marie should Die is because she is annoying. She is so hypocritical. She is a thief. She finds out Walter is cooking meth then all of a sudden she is a saint and he is the devil and she knew nothing else about Walter other than he cooks meth at that time. She just wants to steal the kids for herself.

So just because the creator of the show doesn't like one character he created means that nobody else should.

Walter is going to back to basic human instincts. He is a terrible bad person but he was willing to give himself up before having his Brother in law killed and willing to give up everything he worked for. Family first. If someone was to threaten my family you would believe it i would do anything to stop them including bad things.
