@1MikeyM - All I was thinking is I bet the cheats have figured a way round this already but vast numbers of honest players are finding themselves unable to get into their games :(
I had no end of trouble when I found myself logged out on my B town. Took a while and OK since though.

Well I'm not going to get into what's going on on that side of it but yeah. People who use these things aren't ever likely to buy doughnuts even if it's the only option. Genuine players who love the game and do support it financially are losing their towns. It's not been a good move by EA.

Not a good move by EA, but trust me, from everything I’ve seen with this debacle, most notably the complete lack of any kind of customer service, EA doesn’t care the least about this. A big middle finger, from a garbage company, to those of us that partook in this game for years.

The thing that grinds my gears is that if your email is out of date the require a ton of personal information to retrieve it, stuff that I don't know who remembers. It's a little ridiculous that I can be logged into my Origin account, but can't remember the fake birthday teenage me made so 480 levels are lost. It's a free app, a username and password were more than sufficient.
  • I’ve heard of someone getting help from EA and is back in to her game. I’ll see if I can get her to post here.

On another platform somebody who has been locked out has been told by EA support to "wait for the update where you can choose how the code is sent to you".

My guess is that you will have to have already registered your phone or an alternate email for this to work, but we can always hope...
  • it still works for me i just tried. i've no idea why it doesn't for you guys
My Youtube and Twitch / WikiSimpons Current Event Page and Discord

I'm having no troubles getting in for the most part, I think it's mostly those people whose towns are associated with inactive email accounts that are basically out of luck at this point.

My main complaint for myself is that it's just too much of a pain to try switching between towns on one device. Fetching the code from email and entering it is fine to register the device, but every time?!? Given that this is a freemium game, I don't think there was any problem with the old password system and, if they needed it to be a little more secure, there were much better ways to implement it.
  • lol I can't change email here or on myaccount.ea. my old, inactive, mail is verified and if I want to change mail I need to verify it with my old mail account.

    Sooo... yeah

(Translation) It is very true, it is too tedious to be trying to validate the code, the game is very good, Interesting, do not fall into things so simple that users detest them, I have created almost 2 accounts in each family member, since we ALL play them. To try to merge my email with the game, it is useless to play if after a while I am going to lose EVERYTHING.

(Translation) Really, if it is a problem when entering the game, it is too tedious and harassing, the Game is Super, it has EVERYTHING, it's GREAT, there is no doubt, but that problem when connecting the account to the game and giving you a code and then You enter that code so that the game tells you no, try again it gets tired.

Just got the same problem but I have a valid email, got the code but when entered the message pops up as an invalid code. Customer service is a joke since the only answer is to wait, they are working on it
  • @Abock64 - there seems to be a case sensitivity issue.
Make sure you use all lower case to type your email when trying to log in.
Most devices assume you want to type a sentence when the keyboard pops up, so it starts with a capital and it seems that is causing some of the problems. Good luck.

Just my daily reminder that EA sucks!
  • Well, hey again all.
Adding a big ole me too to this issue.
Spent a bunch of time with EA, should have come here first, I know better.
No end in sight. I just want back in my game.
I was fine till my new phone yesterday :(
PM me- I DO need Good Neighboreenos currently
  • How many more times do we need to verify an email.
I have 3 worlds and all 3 have valid and current emails assigned to them.
Come on EA get this **** sorted, its taking too long and too many verifications to be fun anymore.
