I received an email from tech support to try logging in again. I logged in and FINALLY received a verification code email!
The code worked I’m back in my game.

I've been locked out of my main Springfield for almost two months due to not receiving verification codes. After EA was unable to immediately fix the issue, I kept trying again every once in a while to no effect. I didn't receive an email from EA like Jonofmeans but, inspired by this post, decided to try again and finally got a code! I'm pleased to be back in my town and decided to leave my first forum post to encourage others in the same boat to try again.
Just Now- Over a month lost of my game time. I am BACK!!!!
Just got off chat with EA support and the person told me the only solution was to merge my level 450+ game with a new account but I would likely loose all my progress, purchases, purchase history, etc. I declined and said I will wait for a better option.
Looks like there is light at the end of a tunnel???? apologies if this is the wrong thread. :-(
