Can't do Town portrait

I've posted about this once before, and I still can't take a town portrait. Apparently I need 9.39Gb of storage, and there's no way of getting that, even though my device has 32Gb and has hardly anything on it. It's really annoying as my town is very large and I can't zoom out far enough to plan my town.
Is there a way round this? Before I finally delete the game

  • Ive found the solution is clearing the cache storage where items are held from browsing and download. This is done easier in android
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!
  • Try here. In the Springfield showcase discussion, there are a lot of suggestions and possibilities for doing full town views. HTH

Nothing as loud as the silentmiaow.
  • Well, I finally managed to take a town portrait, but what a job. I practically had to delete almost everything I could off my tablet, including a few photos, and even then still had to check every app, and clear the cache in each one. Then I only just managed to get the 9.39gb required.
Surely EA could come up with something better? I mean I couldn't plan and reorganise my town without it, an I know many others have the same problem.
  • All electronic devices use a temporary folder for download destinations, then they write from that folder to your intended storage location. This has always been how it's done.

Your device's temporary location reports its availability as some value of Mbs, and when the download "handshake" occurs, your device is rejected or fails out, because the value doesn't meet the minimum requirement.

It's not EA's fault that Apple doesn't let you manage your storage like Android does. Complain to Apple, ask them for an easier way to clear your device's cache.
