HotDiggityDoh is broken, needs fixed urgently

When you get to Part 2 onwards you can collect Grease from Restaurants, for Part 2 it's a requirement but the 1 hour tasks for the income timers reset every time you quit, pop to neighbor towns or get hit with the Bart Screen so it is a right pain at best or an impossibility at worst for you to actually collect from all those assorted buildings you might own, Not good,

EA - stop those timers resetting so players can complete plEAse.

Oh no! I have 5 games so have been logging in and out thinking to just come back an hour later. I wondered why no restaurants were “ready” with grease. I can’t just leave a game open for an hour; after about 10 minutes with no play it goes to the Bart screen. Does using donuts work? 25 restaurants times 2 donuts equals 50 donuts to complete the one task. Not cool!

I have the same problem, and I thought you had to log in again in an hours time too 😅

Think I'm missing something. I found one building that gave me grease, and others have different countdown times. So maybe there's a trick I haven't worked out yet

Logged out and back in again, and they've all reset back to 60 minutes. If EA expect players to keep logged in for an hour they're deluded

You people never let me down! Come across to see if it was just me not understanding...Skyfinger didn't collect all my rents which is a pain. Prizes are taking forever to get too...mumble mumble curse!

My skyfinger didn’t work either, thought something was wrong. Why are there always problems when we get a new event? Happening all the time lately.

I tried something that may or may not be worthwhile. (Later) My efforts have gone unrewarded, so I bit the bullet and used donuts to finish that part of the task. Remains to be seen if that works out. Maybe EA will get a fix mounted.

The person is visiting a neighbor and those buckets don't count I tried it myself. The bug is those buildings don't provide the grease in the actual players city and the timer resets every time you log out.

@4junk3000 yes to that ^^^ Buckets in friend towns give nothing but false hopes.
Also I still have no buckets to collect in my town.

Oh i didn't notice that's your neighbor's town.

However, i just collected all 25 after only 1 hour. I do have 25 restaurants in my town, and they all came due to collect at the same time. I expected only one to be collectable, but they all accrued. That was much easier than i thought. I did not restart the task, which did appear to restart the timer every time, so i just left it alone. It completed on time.

I'm sorry for folks having trouble.

To be clear what i did that worked:
Start task once.
Come back in 60m
Scroll around town to collect 25 buckets (or as many as your town has available.)
DON'T RESTART THE TASK UNTIL YOU COLLECT ALL BUCKETS AVAILABLE. Only restart task if you need more.
DON'T USE TASK TO JUMP TO THE COLLECTION POINT. It only restarts the timer.

I hope this helps someone!
*If you cannot do what i just described, you may need to wait for a patch update. I'm sorry.

I just left my phone on with the game running and prayed for a Bart-free hour. Job done, scrolled round and collected 93 buckets.
Good news, from what I've seen it's only a requirement in part 2. Even though buildings are supposed to pay towards the other prizes it's not the end of the world if you can only rely on collecting the character tasks to earn. Just do whatever it takes to get that first 25 if you can't wait for it to be patched.

I'm also seeing that once you've collected the required 25, an hour later more appear and count toward the larger goal of collecting buckets by character tasks. Yay!

UPDATE: well there's two counters and they don't match up. So it'll be interesting to see which one wins. The task list is adding the restaurant buckets to the total, but when you assign the actual jobs, it only shows the buckets collected from character tasks. I suspect the shortcut i was celebrating is not real. Boooo lol

It's not fixed for me
No signs of a patch downloading and I just got Bart right as those grease buckets woulda been ready.
That's two wasted hours now, and I'm just hoping this next hour is Bart-free again
Curses on those unreliable server connections !!
