Thank you for this list. I like being able to animate all buildings in scenes I wish to share w the group. If im going to post a pic, i'd like it to be a little entertaining too. I spend an insane amount of time positioning items so tasks are visible to my neighboreenos.

You may wish to consider alphabetizing the list, as in the future we may only have the decoration's name, without knowing its origin event.
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!
  • ^^ dunno 'bout Safari etc. but the menu on Chrome has a Find - or CTRL+F on a keyboard - for a text search, so if you fire that up and type the name it'll see if there's a match on the page
You'll often find me on tapped-out.co.uk
  • Curses - that ^^ won't work if the info is posted as pics though :(

I have been trying to use bbcode tables but it won't do it. It would be a lot more work too.
I am trying to decide if i want to keep it newest event first or change it to oldest first, even though I am working backwards. What do you all think?
When I am done I can post an alphabetical list, but it may be a while.

What're you using to create the list ??
I can possibly help turn it into a web-page on a free host and help with the initial code and info on how to add or edit as needed, something like this . . .
    https://grahamthetouk.freevar.com/pages/characters/
That said I need to catch up on this, not been keeping up, but I'll get there.
Edit - I need to update this one too, might be a better fit with something like this framework . . .
    https://grahamthetouk.freevar.com/pages/skins-list/
Last edit - I do all that with a formatted Excel list, a bit of code that turns the list into a data array and a bit of web coding that takes the array and displays / indexes / sorts. When I get round to it I just need to update the lists and create a new array to upload and the page does the rest for me.

If you like when you're happy PM a link to the Google Sheet - might need to pop it into Google Drive and get a shareable link there. Needs Excel code to do the legwork to create the data array and let me know if you want it as a plain table like the Characters or an Indexed List like the Skins.
I'll do the framework and either host it on my little site or pop what you need and instructions to get you started with your own.
After the initial set-up if you know what's what it's easy to pop a few more bits into the array to add to it rather than rely on Excel to deal with converting a list to a data-set.
A sample from the Characters data. The list was sorted as Alpha and it uses the numbering to do Oldest or Newest, the data as is for A-Z and reverse-write for Z-A. You'd just need to pop the building into the right bit with the info in [ ] s in quotes and comma separated. Left the end off this but it's enough to see how it works. . .

I only want to post it on the forum. Maybe I'll share a read only copy of the sheet when it's done. But I got hacked once through a Google Sheet and not real keen on that happening again.
  • @11EEvey - I get that, but the offer stands if you change your mind.
I only set that little site up for things like those lists where there was no good way to post it directly but every last line of code was written by me so I know exactly what it does and who to blame when it doesn't work !! Took a while to learn though and it's not an answer for everyone.
It'd no doubt be a nightmare to try to use the Unordered List doodad on here and post it like that, line by line by line . . . yikes !!
I'll stop distracting you now 😊
