Any solution around the town portrait problem?

Can any techie help with the problem that I and others have taking a town portrait? Because I don't have the storage to take one, is there any way to save it to an SD card instead of internal storage?

There is very little on my Samsung tablet, so nothing to take off to save space. The OS takes up 10gb or so.
I thought installing an sd card would help, but hasn't

You will likely be disappointed with the town portrait you get - IF you ever get it to work properly. The image is so small, it's hard to make out details and if you enlarge it, you lose the effect of having the whole town displayed. TP is not one of my fav options on TSTO.

Your device should have a Storage settings switch to save your game to either internal or SD storage. Try that. Also try clearing your Cache in same settings screen

I've searched for storage settings and can't find any options for saving to sd card, and clearing cache doesn't clear enough space.
I have taken town portraits in the past. They are handy for reorganising the town.

the space is needed for the taking and compiling the town shots so it needs the space on the main device. The resulting picture is probably less than 50 mb, but it needs 9-10 gbs of space for the process to run. can you borrow a better device with more free storage to take the town pic? Make sure there is no anonymous town on the device or it will disappear when you log in.

I just googled "samsung tablet set app storage to SD. I saw a LOT of advice, but it may depend on the level of android you have. It does appear that regardless of version, you CAN move all your photos/videos to SD to free up internal space. Google and see if you can find a fix; good luck!

Ironically I've now installed the game on my phone and did a town portrait on that! Just a shame that EA don't include a menu where you can choose the destination for saving a portrait

I’ve never had my anonymous towns affected by logging into a registered town. Only thing that kills an anonymous town is deleting the app.

I mean I may have started one by accident or something, but to check would start a new one if I didn't have one.
